      Sleeping Hours

      Hello everybody.

My name is Manolo and i decided ( once again :-) to start a lucid dreaming "training". i ve set all my stuff correctly....

but i ve a question about REM and "sleep circles"( dont know the right name in english:-).
i ve read that they last 1.5 hours and at start have VERy little rem. then as sleeping hour goes on Rem get longer and longer..

to wake up rested you should then sleep 7.5 hours ( or 6, or 9 and so on)
BUT doing this i Fail to remember my dreams!
while when i sleep 7 hours and i wake up in the middle of REM i , obviously, remember the dream for my Diary.

      now my question is:
is it good to wake up in the middle or the Rem ( easy to remember dreams) , or it s better for me the to sleep 1.5 hours multiples and focus on remembering? ( this need MUCH more patience..)

      regards,

      rotello

I dont know,I myself never really had the problem of remembering dreams..I always did,and still do.I also just wake up about 4 hours of sleep(in the middle of the night) and I gues this isnt a round number of sleep stages..its probally personal but for me it doesnt make a diffirence..but for you it might be diffirent..

oh and btw..welcome to the forum, lol

Yeah, it there a recommended amount of sleep for a person? I'm sure there is, but what does it take to feel rested? Why do we sometimes wake up tired even after a long period of sleep?

Are the intervals proposed above (6, 7.5, 9) accurate and/or necessary?
