      Making a habit of RCing

      I hate this.

I used to do RCs everytime I remembered to do them, then stopped doing them over christmas.

Now, I don't even remember to do RCs

How can I set them as a habit, so I do them subconsciously?

I really recommend you buy a watch that goes of every hour or set your phone with alarms so that everytime it goes of you do an RC. it is a really great way to up your rc frequency. You should still do them when you see strange things even with a watch however.

You could say that about any Reality Check. Basically it looks like you're saying the watch makes life look different.

Huh I'm confused. All I said was to do an rc when the watch goes off and everytime you see something wierd. That way you not only increase your rc count but you train yourself to question reality.

But in your dream, what are the odds of your watch going off to remind you to RC? Sure, questioning reality will help, but you probably won't do it in a dream. Sometimes I just reality check for no reason, I'm looking around, not thinking anything of lucid dreams or dreaming, and just reality check.

Try doing an RC every time you go through a door.

I'm using RCing as a fallback, just incase I have a chance of a DILD, I will have one.

I've been trying alot of methods lately, and finding them very difficult, so if I fail the technique, I could have a chance of DILD

Yeah, and maybe you could set the watch to go off while you are sleeping so that maybe the alarm will sound in your dream, reminding you to do a reality check?

      Do a reality check.

But would you feel it if you're in sleep paralysis?

I always write stuff on my hands, because I can't really remember things... the same for RCs. One time I saw it every 15 minutes and on the same day I had a pre- ld... But in my dream I did an Hand RC... then it got really dark and I searched for a damn lightswitch... I found one... but it only started a new dream, where I didn't remember that I was dreaming.

Its hard to explain in terms other than schemas or small, generalized theories of your perception of the universe. If your watch goes off every hour your brain will quickly build a schema that says "my watch goes of fairly often and everytime it does I'll do an RC" well inside of a dream this schema will be active just like in real life so your watch can still go off causing you to do an RC and become lucid. As far as questioning reality If you do it diligently you'll build a habit that will also carry through to a dream where things are weird fairly often increaing your odds of LD. P. to da S. I also do spontaneous checks sometimes.

That's a good question I don't know about your sence of touch. I seem to remember reading something in EWOLD about how you could feel water sprayed on your face in a dream so I think it is.
