Has this ever happened to you?

Last night I went to bed at midnight, and I must've fallen asleep inmidiatly. I woke up 25 minutes later and I got up to go to the bathroom. As soon as I got up I got this feeling that something wasn't right...so I went to the bathroom and did a reality check, but I wasn't dreaming, I was really awake. The time on my digital watch didn't change, I was able to read perfectly and the letters didn't change or anything, the light switches worked, etc. Well anyway, since I was awake I went back to my room. But, before laying down on the bed, I felt as if 25 minutes hadn't really past. I felt like a really long time had passed, way longer than 25 minutes, and that I hadn't really been on my room. This was kinda weird, anything like this ever happened to you?

Actually, it's funny that you mention that. I usually have that feeling whenever I abruptly wake up from a super-deep sleep... only i don't necessarily think that i'm dreaming...so much as the time goes by much much slower than normal.

Yea that has happened to me. You normally fall asleep for a lot longer than 25 minutes so if you go to sleep and wake up its only normally to assume you slept longer. Plus if your kind of tired and you wake up rested its like that too.

Even worse is when you have a small dream. Doesn't happen that often but you could dream within like 10 minutes of sleep. If you have a dream and wake up your really going to think you been sleeping for a while.

And usually the reverse happens when you have to wake up... you hit snooze and ten min. flys by like you just hit snooze a second ago. I hate that!!!

But yes I know what you are talking about. You can be asleep for a bit of time and feel like no time has gone by at all!! Happened to me many times!

This stuff happens to me quite often.

Last incident happened last night. I've spent over 5 hours in a dream, yet only about 2 hours in reality :/

Once I fell asleep one afternoon and woke up the next night. I'd been sleep deprived all week doing school projects and stuff, so the long sleep wasn't surprising, but I thought I'd only slept for three or four hours when I'd really slept for over 24...freaky stuff.

      Haha, wow!

I find the longer I sleep, the harder it is to get outta bed. Like this morning (or afternoon, actually), I knew that if I didn't force myself up, all hope would be lost for me. lol
