Post A "zap" every time I become lucid

I experience this every time before my lucid dream starts. I recieve shock in the middle of my forehead (the 3rd eye area), right before the dream begins.

Its a little hard to describe, but it looks like a white light expanding, a little bit like when you turn off your TV, except in reverse. It feels like getting smacked in the head, but without any pain. This whole process lasts for about a second.

I get this every time I become lucid, or wake up too fast from a lucid. Does anyone else experience this?

I've not experienced a "zap" but that's kinda cool.. it's like a signal that you're about to become lucid.

Since it doesn't hurt.. I think I might look forward to the "zap".

ive posted this before, but when i get lucid (which i have unfortunatly not done for a while), i get this pins-and-needles sensation all over. like when you leg falls asleep and then you get up and it feels all tingly, exept all over. its weired . i also get this jolt, like im in an earth quake or some thing. the whole thing lasts about a second or so.

also, (this is completely random but...) when i was typing "earth quake" i almost typed "earth quack"
and, coincedantaly (again, very random) i have 77 posts! im doubly as lucky! (for the five minutes until i post again lol).
do a reality check right now!!!

also, go to www.sketchup.com and model your dreamscapes/ anything else in 3-D!! check it out!

I had the exact same thing. I posted it a long time back and nobody knew. What happened was during the day I would get the same sensations on my back and then one day I tried to WILD and all of sudden that sensation happened but 3X worse then before.

It went away though, I hope in your case its the same too.

I agree, that must be awesome, not having to look for signs or do checks.

Thanks for your replies everyone, I can see that this is a very friendly board
I get the jolt as soon as I realize Im dreaming (in a dream), not before. So that rules out it replacing RC's.

And reality check! described it pretty good. It feels like a jolt, and a quake for a second.

Hm yeah i think i got this one time in my entire life, although it might have happened other times i dont remember.

When i was around 9 years old, i remember i woke up and everytime i closed me eyes, you could count to 5 and i would get this sort of shock in my head that would make me open my eyes again. Its weird i still remember it cause it must have happened 20 times in a row, like something was not letting me close my eyes or something, must be what you had happen to you.
