      Last night

Okay so when I go to sleep at night I usually have a pretty hard time falling asleep...

but ever since I started lucid dreaming I dont usually have what anyone would consider nightmares. Because even when I'm not really 'lucid' I still seem to have some form of control... I can make sure it wont go into what you would call nightmare zone.

But last night as I'm finally drifting off to sleep...
I dont know if this was sleep paralysis or what but I definitely didn't feel like sp because I didn't feel like I couldn't move and I know what sp feels like because I've had that quite a bit. but this really freaked me out and I dont know if the physical symptoms were real or were just some kind of (sp related) hallucination.

Anyways I'm finally falling asleep and with my eyes closed (basically in my dream I guess) I see this evil looking old man's face straight in front of me laughing HYSTERICALLY and I'm like ahh I have to get away but I wasn't really in a dream I knew I was lying there but it was like he was just right above/ in front of my face. But my heart rate was going really fast and I had this really tight feeling in my chest it just felt weird and I was like okay your dying... you've finally done it your dying. And after a few seconds I realized you're just falling asleep your in your bed wake up! and then I was like no wait its a dream go lucid... and my eyelids fluttered and I was hoping it was a false awakening so I could go lucid and still get away from the old man (because thats how most of my lucids start is from false awakenings.) but I woke up in my room and you know how after a sp you can still get hallucinations for a few seconds but the physical symptoms go away... (not being able to move)
well I still had this tight feeling in my chest and my heart rate was going really fast for a few minutes and then gradually it went away when I got up and walked around.
I dont know if it was just me being freaked out... or some symptom of SP or something I was really feeling.
      it was very weird though
Has anyone experienced anything like this related to SP?

I have that had feeling - minus the old man laughing in my face - of my heart racing very fast, and tightness in the one time i had SP.

Except i couldnt compose myself and was freaking out and was awake while it was going on.

      That happens to me alot.

last time as I was drifting off to sleep I was staring into the blackness of my closed eyes (Sometimes it helps me keep thoughts away that would keep me awake) and suddenly this guy pops out of nowhere and yells "What are you looking at?!". Felt like I was about to have a heartattack at that point.

I completely agree... Man, you could consider that one funny... Oh well. I know only a few things of SP, and one of those is that you see strange things when you experience it... And then there's a theory sayin' that you see only bad things during SP. Is it true?

i dont know if you only see bad things during SP... i dont think so though.
one time I had auditory hallucinations of a huge crowd of people cheering and laughing. strange stuff lol. that was the first time and also the first time I had a lucid... and i had sp then heard people yelling then woke up and looked down at the bedspread and i guess my brain was still confused cuz I saw this creepy face in the flowers in the bedspread. and it was moving.
