Typically, I have more dreams on mornings I get to sleep in and remember them better. The more sleep I get (naps are the best times for my dreaming - my naps are "sleeps" btw), the more dreams I tend to have, but that is only personally. I have read on here that some people don't do well the more sleep they have. Every body seems to be different in the requirements of sleep and their normal natural dreaming patterns.

I think you might just need to keep trying at LD'ing until it gets easier and clearer for you on a consistent basis.
And experience it as a place to visit and play with reality.
You are becoming aware of yourself as a game master.

I find that getting too little sleep affects my dream recall for a couple of reasons.

-Less sleep means less dreams and less dreams to remember.
-If I wake up after a dream period at some point in the night, I'm too tired to remember to try to recall my dream and write it in my journal.

I find that if i get less sleep then I sleep way deeper and my dreams are harder to recall

Everything makes sense once you stop thinking about it

For me, definatly. No question; I need at least 8 or more hours a night to be able to consitantly recall my dreams, and no recall, no LD. Oh, and I've gotten most (not all) of my LD's the same way, Jdog.

I think if lack of sleep is affecting you then just try to LD only every other night. That way your body will adjust to know that certain nights are for deep sleep and certain nights are for lucids.
