WILD can be very difficult for some people. Some people may lay in bed for an hour and finally WILD, others can get it within minutes. My first successful WILD came after my 6th night of trying. I laid in bed after waking up, didn't even get up. Woke my mind up a little bit, and as I laid there with my eyes closed, I could feel my body falling asleep. From there, images started appearing in front of my eyes, and then formed a complete one, and then I was dreaming. The total time must've been maybe 10 minutes from the start of my WILD into my dream.

But it does differ with each person. Keep trying, and practice relaxation techniques, and you'll get it soon.

As you're hearing the ringing in your ears or seeing stuff in SP, try to imagine being in your backyard or where ever and how that actually feels to be there.

If that works, then you should be pulled in.

I think the reason it took awhile was cause you hit the wrong time in your sleep cycle. (one of the reasons it takes people an hour or just minutes i think is just how long before your next REM cycle) My longest dreams happen just 3 hours after I'm asleep. try setting an alarm for that time.
