      Snake bite.

      I know there may be a topic for this sort of discussion. If anybody finds or knows of one, could you please put a link in this thread?

      Ok, here goes.

      I just remembered part of a dream last night that I thought I had forgotten. In it there were snakes with legs. It's hard to describe... anyhoo, they were really fast and one of them bit the top of my hand. When I woke up, my hand actually hurt quite a bit. Almost as if I was actually bit by the snake.

      BTW, I absolutely love A Mighty Wind ....(have to watch it w/ someone, tho)

      I've had that happen before. Were you sleeping on it strangely or was there something that could have fallen on your pillow that could have triggered the feeling of a snake bite? It might just have been what I refer to as phantom pains, the kinds that your mind makes worse than they really are.

      Yes. It may be in my mind, but that doesn't mean it didn't hurt.

      Sort of like the placebo effect. Some people get ill just because they think they've recieved a medication. What's important is the fact that they get ill .

      The mind can do extroidinary things, like make my hand hurt when nothing has happened to it (no I wasn't sleeping on it).

      Yeah I had experiences where I got shot, stabbed, etc. It hurt and tingled in the dream but it's nothing more then imagination.

      yep, had something EXACTLY like that
      cept the bit was on my left leg, and the snake was a normal-looking snake

      Oh that's right. I remember being bit HARD by a cat once. I saw the muscles and blood in my arm and everything in crystal clear detail. That hurt a lot. But it was just my imagination.
