      Dorsolateral prefrontal cortex

      http://www.bostonneuropsa.org/PDF%20...ET_AL.__02.pdf

I just read a very Important Article written by Allan Hobson called "The prefrontal cortex in sleep" (2002)

I highly recommend that everyone read it, its very interesting

It says that the Dorsolateral prefrontal cortex, is one of the few areas deactivated during REM sleep, and where working memory occurs. The DLPFC plays a role in sustaining attention and working memory an consciousness. And that Lucidity can results in the activation of this part of the brain.
