Thread: Has Anyone Ever Done This?

This post is based on the fact that dream time coincides with real time - I'm pretty sure that's true based on what I've read.

I've seen on a lot of sleep-brain-wave charts that there are several periods of REM interrupted by periods of NREM. So, is it at all possible for the brain, once it has entered REM, to stay in REM for the entire sleep period? Has anyone ever had a lucid dream that went for the full approximately 8 hours of sleep time? Did it feel like 8 hours?

Just curious That'd be cool if it ever happened.

I doubt that this is possible unless you deprive yourself of sleep for a few days or something and then just have nonstop REM for the whole night.

Also, yes dream time often coincides with real time, but sometimes it doesn't. Sometimes it can feel like you experienced hours of dreaming when in fact it was only 10 minutes or something. I've definitely experienced this with regular dreams.

When you're lucid can you make your dream seem like a long time? (That's probably a "yes, if you have the power" answer huh? )

your dream will only last minutes (1-15) but it can seem like hours (which is good)
