Thread: Locations!

I made this thread just to see what kind of really cool places you have seen or been to in your dreams.
I find that dreams can be exellent inspirations for drawings and landscapes. In my lucids, I have seen huge glass
towers connected by bridges, surrounded by lakes and gardens and large plaza's filled with people. I have seen a
modern looking city that was in a constant state of sunset, and a city made from polished granite nestled next to a
huge mountain and a wide river, like a cross between Minas Tirith and Naboo. I have also noticed my lucid's have
very beautiful skys, filled with huge white clouds and sun rays. So, post what amazing places you have been to
in dreams, and if they have inspired you in any way!

My favorite landscape has definitely been this Middle Earth/Narnia combination. It was so incredibly beautiful, the rolling green hills, amazing tall castles, snow capped mountains.

It makes me want to travel and find a rival to it's beauty.

Well, I'm trying to recall a specific landscape, but until I do, here's one that I saw back in November.

In this particular scene, I was on this huge hillside. It sloped down at about a 35-40 degree angle, so it was steep, but not overly so. It was at first brown and rocky, with some tufts of dried tan grass in between the rocks. It led down to the ocean, though the shore (between the water and the hill) wasn't very large. The horizon over the water was a long, long way off and there were no obstructions.

There were literally thousands of people making their way down to the shore. There weren't really any natural paths on the hill; it looked like it hadn't been walked upon. There are a few natural indentations in the topography as if water had been running down it at some point in time. The scene changes a little as I'm moving off to the left and down the hill; the beach is more to my right, but I'm finding the easiest way down, thought not of my own volition. There is also a canyon at the foot of the hill (though I can't see the bottom) and more high, steep hillsides on the other side. Also, there's now snow on the ground, but still thousands upon thousands are making their way down to the beach.

Illernus, a Capital City I imagined for a game I have planned to make with some friends in the future... It was really amazing. I was like "Woah. This is how it should look like!"

Other places that were neat... Aren't really "locations" but flying a Fighter Jet in the skies is always a good experience ( for me cause I never get shot down in battle yay )

My list of nice locations (that I can remember)

- On a barge on a waterway. Either side of the waterway were whiteish walls, with facades and plants growing on it. Openings in the walls revealed people with children watching the boat passing. Very clean and pretty.

- I was in a game of Thief 3, sneaking around a building. Found an elaborately decorated door which was quite pretty as well.

- I was outside a house next to the lake on a sunny day. Puppies playing next to me under a rambling vine, and green grass all around me. Was amazed at the ripples on the lake and the general peace of the scene.

Hmm. Can't remember that many right now. Will add later.

PS: I like the Narnia idea. Very idillic (spelling?)

i changed the environment, and i was in thes place that was ugly and beautiful at the same time. it was a place with grass and pyraminds, everything colored whacky colors... i can't explain it was so dazzling.
