First of all, I would like to point out that I don't know too much about psychology and I'm not an expert lucid dreamer, this is just something that came across my mind.I don't know if someone already wrote something about this. Please, correct me if I'm wrong about anything
Anyway, let's get to the point...
Everything we experience with our senses through our lives is carefully stored in our memory, even if it's only a face of a random man in the street.
We have long-term memory and our brain doesn't actually delete the data, we just lose the connections to the information with our conscious mind.
Through our lives, we carry tacit knowledge with ourselves. That is the knowledge that we have in our minds, but we are not actually aware of that knowledge.
In short...We know a lot, LOT, LOT more than we can say... (Maybe that's the reason why the dream guides know a lot more than we do about ourselves, since they ARE our subconscious mind)
When we are dreaming, we gather information from our mind (subconscious minds is producing the dreams for us using our long-term memory) for our mind (storing the dreams in the long-term memory), but our mind itself doesn't actually know the difference between what we collect with our senses in the waking state and in the dreaming state.
However, our mind seems to have some kind of a system to make us forget our dreams, but as I mentioned before, we can't actually forget something, we just lose the connections, the capacity of our memory is not limited.
When we are lucid dreaming, we meet our subconscious mind face to face and we are able to dig through the endless pools of our memory....(I should cut the dosage of metaphors, shouldn't I ? )
Anyway...the theory ... at last
Would it be possible to perfectly replay and recall one's dreams using the flaw while in the lucid dream state.
It sounds interesting but then again...what if you forget that dream in which you tried to remember a previous dream ?
