very, very vivid and real imagination before going into SP!

So. Yesterday I woke up at 3 to go help my cousin with his paper route. I got home, took a shower, and went to my friend's house. I had 3 pepsis, a gatorade, about 4 glasses of milk, and an energy drink.

While I felt energetic for the majority of the day, the energy wore off and I became very, very drowsy. I was playing a videogame and I couldn't keep my eyes open! I did a few reality checks because I knew that I was in an odd situation.

As I was going to bed, I decided to leave the t.v. on and I turned on my electric fish aquarium. I can sleep through light and sound, and I figured they would help me not be so afraid if I went into SP and had illusions. So, I rested my body, ignored the twitches, itches, aches, and "urges" to turn over. I was laying down completely still for probably only 5 minutes. All of a sudden, I was hearing odd whispers in my room, my body had that "wave" going over it, and I could feel my body falling asleep.

I was getting closer to falling asleep... Oh so close... And, I was getting scared (as usual.). So, I decided to just pretend that my body didn't exist and listened to the t.v. All of a sudden, my mind burst open with images of the show. They were hardly distorted, very real, and felt as if they were inside of my eyelids. I felt my head "sink" into the pillow, and the images became realer, and realer. Soon enough, I freaked out, and just sat up.

      Weird

If only you hadn't freaked out...

You were very, very close to a very vivid LD.

Drinking lots of high-energy drinks makes a big difference to things.

Barns, is correct.. you were extremely close! You just have to work on conquering your nerves (knowing that nothing can harm you) and ride out the transition.
