Is this the same? Help!

Is this HI or something else? When im almost asleep instead of seeing with my 'eyes' all the Hypnagogic Imagery that people go on about. i see with my 'mind' sort of wired and random situations which can vary from lookin at a flower or talking to someone, etc. i dont really see lights and patterns with my eyes its more like situations in my head, but not as vivid as a dream and very random!!? anyone understand. what stage of sleep is that?

Yep, you got that right, its Hi. I'm pretty sure nobody really sees Hi with their eyes because it is all in your head. Some people see flashes of light and random patterns, and other people like me just see people or other objects. I just think you misunderstood what people were saying about HI.

Ya, this sort of thing is different for every person.

To be honest it varies even for the same person. Some nights I just get flashes of color, other nights I get entire clear pictures randomly flashing (like a weird slideshow) and yet other times I can see stable scenery (which usually ends up being where my dream begins). And yet other nights I see patterns like a face repeated across my entire vision or a field of stars. Some people report seeing weird things when they open their eyes right after waking, but I've never had that happen to me. I think its relatively uncommon compared to the other things I described.

I'm not entirely sure actually. You see with your mind? Are these just stray thoughts entering your mind because you are tired? Or are you actually seeing them behind your eyelids?

It's like when you sleep sometimes right after you turn off the light. When you close your eyes, you see patterns and stuff. HI is kinda like that... for me, at least.

Well they are kinda like stray thoughts but they start becomming a bigger picture now and then and then next thing its like a mini dream but no way near like a lucid or a normal dream. hard to explain. but i defo dont see it behind my eyelids. thats what made me ask, what stage of sleep it is?

whenever I have something like that I hear peoples voices. It's creepy because I sounds for real! it kinda makes me feel like Im crazy XP. I also see a lot of colours, but rarely people or objects.

I know what your talking about liverred. I've had 2 separate types of visual HI. The vivid type you actually see behind your eyelids, and the not so vivid type that you see sort of in your mind, like a separate set of eyes. The second type is more common for me. I always thought it was just the mind wandering as you lose conscious control while your falling asleep... or something like that.

Exactly so this is some sort of hi? does this mean that if i want to attempt a wild and im this stage that im pretty close?

Hmm. I'm not sure. It happens when my mind wanders which I've taken to mean as I'm close to losing consciousness, which would be bad in a WILD. But I've never successfully WILDed yet... so I could be wrong. I'm pretty sure its the vivid behind your eyes type of HI that you want. I've had it once but wasn't able to get any further. I watched an imaginary trailer for LOST while I was fully conscious It was crazy.
