Unhappy There's no control at all!

Well I had three lucid dreams since I started trying to do one. All those lucid dreams I had yet was completely unbelievable! I wasn't able to control my dreams. Well there was some progress at my third lucid dream but nothing at all. Well guys any tips for having control to my dreams? The problem is that I'm not having any kind of control.

Just keep trying! It took me until my fifth lucid before I could have control. My first four, I couldn't even keep my eyes open. My fifth one though, I got a ton more control and could even fly.

Just focus on wanting control in your LD before you go to bed. I find that if I think of too many things I want to do, my mind will be too jumpy and distracted in my LD. Once you start to get control, then you can start to think about the cool things you want to do.

If you do get control, continue to RC every once in a while in your dream to stay lucid (I'm not sure if this is needed, but I do it just to be safe). Also, try to ground yourself into the lucid by using your senses like feeling objects and looking at their textures. This will make the dream more vivid.

      I hope this helps you!

      Lucid Goals:
      1. Successfully WILD
      2. Increase lucidity, clarity, control, etc.
      3. Change locations/teleport

      Hey Stav, you're doing great!

Don't worry, you'll gain control with practice. I'm incredibly slow when it comes to learning how to do things in dreams, but even I am making progress.

It helps to pick out a particular task or special thing that you would like to do. Try to focus on that a lot while you are awake, reminding yourelf of it and imagining doing it. Then when you are dreaming, you will remember it and it will come easier for you.

That's better than just waiting until you are already lucid and then just randomly trying to think of something to do.

Is there anything in particular that you especially want to do? Like flying or something?

stavrakas, for those new to lucid dreaming, I advise that you don't try to set the lucid world on fire your first few dreams.. don't try to do too many tricks, summon people, etc. Simply go with the flow and take it all in. Get used to what being lucid FEELS like so you can ground yourself in your dreams.. that's when the tricks/stunts can happen.

Your first few dreams simply act like a tourist in a new place.. go sightseeing and take in all the different colors and sounds. You may try to increase your vividness by confidently declaring "increase lucidity" or "clarity now" but that would be the extent of control I would recommend for struggling dreamers.

I still have to remind myself the moment I become lucid to get "grounded" in my dream (i.e., make it as lucid as it could be) instead of immediately racing to do something before I lose lucidity.

One of the tricks I use to "ground" myself is to "touch" things. By touching.. I mean really "feeling" them. Get into how they feel.. are they hot, cold, smooth, rough, etc. (this also helps me remain in the dream longer).

Also, there is no "try" when you're lucid.. only "do". You must KNOW that there is nothing you can't have nor perform while in your dream.

Just remember that "the deeper the level of lucidity.. the better your lucid experience should be".
