It could be simply that you don't actually want to feel pain. You may be interested in it, but hesitant to the actual idea. Kinda like a last, split second thought. Say you jump from 1000 ft. to hard cement, right at the last possible second every thought going through your brain stops and says "I wish I didn't do this" and braces for the pain, in such a way that you don't want to feel it, so you don't. So the idea of pain or extreme hot or cold, while we may be able to experience them, it may be simply mental blockage. |
