feeling pain, very hot\freezing cold in LD?

i was thinking- regular & lucid dreams can be 100% real when your in them (as to your feelings and all other sences), right up to the point of extreme.. that goes to the fact the you can mimic a super vision cos you know what its supposed to be like (watched a telescope..), same with very happy, sad and so on.. but- what about pain? i find myself not feeling it as i would want to, sometimes i fall on a something hard and feel only a the impact with any pain at all, same with heat or cold.. its much less real that way and pain, hot, cold, and wet are the same for the mind as all other things- the mind knows how its feeling so it CAN mimic it.. so y does it drop it from the dream?
is it the same for you? you also not feeling very wet and cold when in water or a burn and pain near fire on when hitting something at a high speed?

It could be simply that you don't actually want to feel pain. You may be interested in it, but hesitant to the actual idea. Kinda like a last, split second thought. Say you jump from 1000 ft. to hard cement, right at the last possible second every thought going through your brain stops and says "I wish I didn't do this" and braces for the pain, in such a way that you don't want to feel it, so you don't. So the idea of pain or extreme hot or cold, while we may be able to experience them, it may be simply mental blockage.

I'd like to actually feel what it was like to splat on the sidewalk surrounding the empire state building... as long as I could wake up from it XD
I am posting on topic elsewhere for the most part.

My DJ here at DVs, Realized Aspiration only contains old dreams. I'll be around for the occasional chat, and some unfinished/unstarted RPs.

And you, yeah you, with the ice cream hands. You, yeah you, are my friend. ~ Still my mentor, and an awesome guy.

I've felt pain and cold and hot in dreams. I'd rather not have to feel such extremes.

That's the great thing about it being lucid. You can do a belly flop into an active volcano and not feel a thing.

Judging by my experiences of regular dream, I am able to feel cold and hot, but never the pain. One of my most notable experience of this occurred when I was young, a little less than 15 years ago. I was having a nightmare, and was panicking.

I was being chase by a dinosaur, got my hand bitten, and it was at that moment i was able to know I was dreaming, since i felt no pain. I was looking at the raptor bitting on my hand. I was still panicking at that moment, but i was able to wake myself up. I think i was between 5-7 year old at that moment

As for cold, 2 nights ago(or about), I had a false awakening, which led to a very rich dream, a dream with a very high level of detail. I was fooled in thinking i had found out I could fly. I was outside in the snow, and i cold feel the cold air, the snow made me shiver and I felt my feet melting the snow, becoming wet in the process.
There is nothing like a dream to create the future.

I feel pain often. I don't know about heat or cold though... in one of my dreams, I was in a fistfight with one of my friends. He pinned me down and dug his elbow in my ribs, which kinda hurt, so I ended up waking up.

I frequently feel pain in my dreams..In one where I was in the future, the
ozone layer must have depleted a great deal, because the temperature
felt like 300 degrees, and my skin was burning.(like the worst sun-burn)
I had to force myself to wake up.

I've also felt the pain of biting dogs..

Lots of other times-can't remember them all.

I have felt pain before, but that was years and years ago before I got better at control.

Like many others, I have felt the sensation of cold and hot.

In one such dream, I was submerged in freezing cold water. I could feel the temperature but tried to ignore it. I was in a large body of water with no land around me during a storm. The water swirled around me and eventually I was pulled completely under, having the pleasure of feeling the sensation of drowning as the water filled my lungs and I began to have trouble breathing in the dream.

It was just an attempt at flying that went terribly wrong <.< >.>

I, of course, knew there was nothing to worry about, but it did make flying a lot harder to actually do (normally I don't have much trouble with it but I did in that particular dream).

I know that whenever I get hit by a bullet, lucid or not, I never feel it. I used to wake up from it. Now, I either become convinced that I somehow survived, that I am a ghost, or that it is a dream.

I have a friend that says he once experienced his arm being slowly sawed off. Told me he never wants to experience it again. Of course, he was in an NLD, but it implies that we could experience certain sensations in a LD as well.

I feel pain, hot and cold, etc...

I live in the desert and often dream about stepping on cactus and killing or combating rattlesnakes.

It's a true pain, but not quite as sharp as "reality". It's more like the "memory" of pain.

a lot of time pain is replaced by a feeling of heavy to light pressure on my body. but sometimes ill feel a stabbing that is actually pretty uncomfortable. but the strange thing is, ill awaken immediately to find something in the real world poking me.

thats not so weird, im mostly curious how my mind timed my dream to line up with exactly when i felt the pain. maybe my mind knew it was happening and waited until it could use it in a dream? or maybe its some cooler but less realistic explanation.

      any ideas?
