      Here's a Thought... a "Dream Friend".

What if you have a lot of experience in lucid dreaming, with good recall, control and whatnot. Would it be possible for someone to make a friend, be it someone from real life or someone you make up, that would be in lucid dreams?

My thought is this: attain lucidity, then think of the person and get him/her to appear, then that person can accompany you on the insanely awesome adventures in the dreams. Heck, the person may even act as a catalyst for entering lucidity, should he/she be in a non-lucid dream.

I understand this may be a bit of a stretch of imagination, but could it be done?

      it's an interesting idea!
I'm not an experienced lucid dreamer at all, but I have a friend (my old roomie) who appears in my dreams very often, and I'm trying to use her as a catalyst for becoming lucid, so she might well be my LDing companion!

I'm sure it could be done.
It'd be nice to have a constant companion while on lucid adventures.

Sounds a bit like a "Dream Guide" and people do find and keep them.

There is even a tutorial about it: http://www.dreamviews.com/community/...ad.php?t=32145

I guess as long as They didn't start talking inside my waking head and I didn't look forward to meeting them in a dream("Can't wait to go lucid so I can tell Johnny about my day at school!" sounds like insanity to me) I think it'd be pretty cool

It seems my dream "adventures" are always alone. Im not sure how hard it would be to get a DC to follow you around like that. but I admit it would be really cool. Ill have to give it a try.

I have already started making one. Check out my DJ, it's in there. I haven't been able to get back to it, though.

Yeah it would be a very cool thing to do. I rarely get control of my dreams, so that gives me alot of time to decide how I want them to be like.

Or maybe even a rival? Just for the fun of it?
