How long do your WILDs usually last?

Except for a single nocturnal one, all my LDs have to be WBTB/WILD induced in the early morning. Usually a normal session will involve me waking out of the dream 3 or 4 times and then WILDing back into it (vibrations and all) each time to start from square one. Is this normal for you guys as well?

Me getting "thrown out" isn't really a case of over-excitement (anymore), but it seems like they just have a short lifespan and begin to fade, regardless of trying to spin or look at my hands.

Basically, I feel as though if a normal night of dreaming were a long distance run, a WBTB/WILD session is a bunch of sprints, with necessary breaks in between. Does anybody else feel this way?

I guess I'm asking because, while waking up and going through the vibes can be fun, I'd like to avoid the short lifespan so I can do a bit more and go further (since every time I start over, I start from the same spot).

I think it's because you're getting enough sleep for the night so the REM period is going to be shorter.

Actually, REM periods/cycles last longer the more you sleep, assuming that you actually managed to stay asleep.

I also have problems with my WILD dreams only lasting for a few minutes. I'll get back to you if I can find a way to prolong them...
