HELP:was it nearly a lucid dream?

heya ppl... ive visited this website a couple of times and got hooked on lucid dreaming, so i have been practising for about a week to try and realise i am dreaming in a dream yday wen i was in a dream i was tlking to sum random lady and halfway talking to her i said "this is just a dream" dont know why lol nuffing wierd just did................. then as soon as a said it everythink went blank and i had this amazing wierd tingling feeling (i wasent walking round of anythink i coudent see anifing just blur) but this strange feeling!! thn i slowely opened mi eyes and i was awake and was tingling lol??? was i nearly lucid dreaming or what not sure i was?? plz help

Bah, try to spell a bit more readable. Do you mean that in the dream, you went up to someone and said "This is just a dream"? If yes, yeah, that's pretty close .

You are right Uber =] very close and you should try to stay in the dream like keep your eyes closed and don't move and try to imagine the place again

The thing most new people to lucid dreaming have to understand is calling a lucid dream lucid, is like calling something hot or cold, some people have there own idea's about how warm something has to be to be considered hot, it's like that with awarness of your current state. I Think it's very clear what you said, and I'd say it was a lucid dream, only you could tell though how lucid it really was.
