SP Sleep, sounds like Sleep Paralysis Sleep, and during that time, your entire body becomes paralyzed. If you happen to be concsious during this time, such as during a WILD attempt, you can experience various different things. Some people don't experience much other than simply the ability to not move, and others experience very vivid experiences such as the feeling of pressure on their chest, sometimes audio and visual hallucinations, and can feel a sense of terror.

For each person though, it tends to vary. To see what happens with you, you'll just have to try to enter SP and pay attention to whats happening.

Nothing. Usually it comes with Hypnagogic Imagery that you would watch and you'd step into the dream. I never managed to go that far though.

Well, SP is just the stage of sleep where your body is just falling asleep. During SP, try not to freak out or lose your focus, and just wait it out and let it pass. Soon you should start to see HI (Hypnogogic Imagery), which can range from small little pictures, to vivid scenes. Its around this point that your close to being in a dream.

Watch the HI as it goes on, and it should increase, and form a scene of sorts, and then from there, you should be "pulled" into the scene and if you do it right, should still be conscious.

Unless your going to be trying the WILD Technique though, I wouldn't really worry about SP, as almost no other techniques require you to be awake at that point.

And SP CAN be scary, but like I said in my other post too, it varies with each person. You could feel nothing at all, or you could get one of those really vivid experiences.

My problem with SP sleep is that nothing usually happens for me other than I can hear myself snoring (and feel myself breathing deeply), and there are usually vibrations accompanying it. Occasionally I will see hallucinations (shadowy figures in my room running at me and such), but that is only if I manage to open my eyes a little bit.

But it usually just leads to me getting bored and either waking myself up or letting myself fall into unconscious sleep...I plan to keep trying though, because although it gets boring I feel like I am onto something since I experience it every other night. At the very least it should be helpful in strengthening my awareness while my body is asleep.
