      when worlds collide

I have been interested in lucid dreams for a long time but dont remember having an experience. I cant always remember my dreams. When I do, its just small detail that comes back to me throughout the day. My question is, is it possible that I am having many lucid dreams but I just dont know it? I mean that these lucid dreams are so much more exciting and real and better than real life, that my real awake mind cant comprehend that level of freedom and emotion of a lucid dream? I hope that makes any sence, its my first post here and I am retyping it because the first post didnt work for some reason.

      Welcome to Dreamviews!

Many people don't naturally recall their dreams, or if they do, they only remember small parts of it, as you do. You could quite possibly be having lucid dreams and not remembering them, but it's probably not because of the level of excitement. Once you learn to remember your dreams, and start having lucid ones, you'll be able to remember lucid dreams just as easily as any other dream.

You might want to take a look at the Dream Recall tutorial for more information on remembering your dreams.

If you have any questions, feel free to ask me or any of the dream guides (members with green names).

Welcome to DV! I can't add much after Wavefunction's reply there, but I recommend starting a dream journal to help your recall. We even have a section for them, if you want to make a public one.

You could be forgetting your LDs. Sometimes I don't remember I had an LD until a day later, but those are usually the ones that aren't very significant (IE: All I did was realize I'm in a dream and then wake up). However, I'm pretty sure you would remember an LD if it was so vivid and life-like.

Nah, it's Ur dream recall that needs work. And yes U may be having lucid dreams every night without Ur knowing. I remember vaguely in some of my dreams that I did a reality check.

I am talking more about reality and dream feeling the same. My everyday awake mind and life feels just the same as a dream. The scenes are different but thats about it. Alot of times in my "reality" I stop and question and feel as if i'm dreaming. So when I fall asleep and have a "real" dream, its the same mental feeling as in real life, so dream recall is very confusing for me, just like this post must be confusing to whoever reads it lol.

Yes I know what you mean when you say you feel as if your dreaming. I myself have been through it because I deliberately merged dreaming and reality as one reality hoping to become lucid in the dream. It became a problem for me because I ended up more passive and it affected my daily life/thinking. It's difficult to become lucid like this. What you can do like I did is to be more active and engaged in your real life and try not to question your reality because it makes reality into a possible dream. Maybe stop it for a while like a couple of weeks, your mind/subconcious is confused and treats reality as a dream.
