Thread: "Flying"

Umm..I think this topic is supposed to be in dream control? But anyway,how do I fly? I never really had any problems..I like the neo matrix way..hehe,I like generating waves of wind below me,then just blast of..but not to fast cuz if you fly to fast the dreamscape will fade..

I use the Neo-Matrix way when I want to ply just for the fun of it. When I need to get somewhere fast, I use teleportation.

Like the other night, I wanted to get to Paris. The dream would have faded long before I could have gotten there.

The important thing I have found for me at least is to say my intention, or if flying, actually jump. For some reason with me, I cannot will things to happen, I must start with a physical action.

Well I dont think I could even get to like Paris flying because the dream world isnt Identical to the normal world of course..so it probally would be impossible to just find Paris without willing or expecting it..
Speaking of teleporting,how do you teleport??
I like the wizard style, create a magical portal and imagine were it goes and just jump in..its more fun then spinning or creating a normal door..lol

I prefer to fly superman style. As for flying great distances, I never have really tried that. Jumping from a high place works well too.

For teleportation, I form an image in my mind of where I want to go, then kind of disolve into it. You know, like they do when changing scenes in a movie.
I will usually get distracted and forget where I was going if I try to fly to it!

when I was little, before lucid dreaming, I usually flapped my arms. I thought about my dreams alot, becuase I realized I could have control over them, and even feel in them..this was before I knew about lucid dreaming though...

now, probably neo-matrix.

I had a dream where I flew out to Crater lake from the east coast, it was night, full moon, beautifull, the central northern well more west actually part of the country has some incredible scenery, very rugged terrain.

Part of the way I flew up above cloud level, other times I stayed a little closer to the ground, Up high the winds werent in my favor, but I like the view up there its worth the extra energy.

But I flew all the way there, dove down and took a swim in the lake, the cold water feels so refreshing, and its secluded, not many people around to see a dragon playing around in the water =) I woke up before the return flight.

It's good to hear on how you all fly differently and get to one place or another. Recently I just had a LD and I tried to fly, but just couldn't get it right . I was on a balcony of a house and I just jumped off and I was expecting this 'rush' feeling that I sometimes get so I can fly, but I think I was only able to merely float above the grass. I only tried once more but I was destracted before I could finish trying to fly. I guess I wasn't concentrating enough

I forgot to mention earlier in my dream I was able to fly, or maybe rocket into the sky. I was in a place with rolling hills, green grass, etc. and me and my friends found these items called remedy's or ethers in a bag. We would use them and then we would suddenly sky rocket away, but only for a limited time. I also tried to access the items through my mind, but it turned out to be much of a hassle for that moment. Has anyone tried this before?

from what i've seen, the Neo Matrix way is the best, and is what i have used

in fact in my first lucid dream it started off by all the "agent smiths" running after me, then i became lucid and flew around like Neo

I should try your telleporation method. I have tried getting to new places in my dream by creating a door and whatnot, but i just can't seem to get it down right.

Try making a hole in the ground/floor and jump in it, see where it takes you.

I tried that in my first lucid dream, it took me to the void and a whole load of weird noises

hey wait a minute. i've heard a little bit about limbo land, can someone explain to me what it really is??

I can't fly in my dreams. I never have been able to. I am working on it though.

The best way to fly for me is to just run really fast, then do a superman; the only downside is that if anything is chasing you it never works.

As for limbo, I'm not sure but I think it's the place between earth and hell, but like I said, don't quote me.

Although I'm not lucid yet, but I have been flying in my dreams forever. I have had dreams where I would fly like Superman. That's because I used to read Superman comics when I was young.

Here are some of the ways I would get from point A to B in my dreams:

Fly like superman
Ride a flying car
Jump really high (kinda like walking on the moon)
Find myself there but can't explain how
Ride a car
Run
Walk


In fact, I remember a dream where I opened a school to teach others how to fly. I started off people with jumping, and I would ask them to jump, but try to focus on landing softly, then take them from landing softly to barely touching the ground, and finally, fly for some time. The jumping playground was made from a pond and small circular islands (something like a diameter of 1 meter). Students would jump from one island to the next.

In the dream I almost wrote a book about flying (had I not woken up). My schools (fanchise) of flying got so famous that I saw the book writing as the next reasonable step. I wanted the world to fly!

I don't have much experience but I did fly in my second lucid dream. I just jumped of the ground and flew away. I did remember something someone said about powercables preventing you from flying higher so I actually tried flying around them but I didn't have any problems. Sadly it didn't last very long before I woke up.
