      Heart Rate

So last night was the closest I've gotten. I woke up after 4.5 hours and it felt like I was about to naturally wake up. I stayed awake for 15 mins writing down a non LD I just had then laid back down and after about 30 mins I started feeling a cool heavy wave come over me and my eyexs went all gobbledy gook. I felt the heavy vibrations (which are very under rated on here by the way) and then my heart rate skyrocketted. I tried to slow it down by breathing but I think it brought me out cause i just started feeling the same way I did right before the vibrations. No luck after that. Is an increased heart rate normal and i just shouldnt think about it or do i just have to chill my guava and relax?

Actually, I don't think your heart rate increased. As you go further into the Sleep Stages, and Relax, your heart rate actually slows down. I think what you were experiencing, was probably a Side Effect of Sleep Paralysis. I've had that happen a few times myself. I mean, don't get me wrong, its possible your heart rate increased alot, but I think its more likely it just was something you imagined, its always been that way for me when I think my heart rate is increasing during that stage.

Yeah, I've experienced this as well. To me, it feels like my hard slows down and beats much harder. I think at this point you should try visualizing a dream scene.

When you try to WILD you can get that heart rate raising feeling.
and the heavy feeling to. it's nothing harmful, it's just scary :S.
I thinks the heart rate and the breathing gets back to normal after a while, but it's hard to not notice it.

Your heart rate can increase right before entering the dream. It has happened to me several times.
