      Angry Gah! So pissed!

Last night I thought I'd try to WILD without the whole WBTB deal. It was probably 12 o' clock or so and I figured it'd be easy to go into SP. I laid down, left a dim light on, and my television on.

The process was going rather smooth. It was taking a while, but none the less it was going quicker than usual. That's when it happened- this time was much different than the previous ones.

I got the usual floating feelings, images were showing up in my eyelids, I started seeing a landscape forming, etc., and at the time, I was like "Holy shit, this is fun!" You see, I'd never had images that intense or realistic before.

That's when I was hearing a weird metal against metal scraping sound, going on off for like a minute. Suddenly, I felt this presence in my room, and then I heard this whale's cry echo throughout my room. It was so freaking scary, it was funny!

My body started to vibrate mildly and it numbed pretty bad, so I figured I was close to the SP stage. (you know, the pins and needles?)

Well, it was coming. But, I stopped it. As soon as my heart rate started going crazy, I felt this thing pop out of my skin on chest, and I felt this cold liquid trickling down my side. I thought I'd got some internal bleeding or something (I don't know ) and I freaked out. So, I stopped the process to take a look at it.

As soon as I broke out of it, the sensation left. It was nothing; just my side numbing and my mind jumping to conclusions. I'm sure you guys have felt like certain parts of your body were wet while they were numbing at times, right... ?

... Anyways, nothing was wrong, and I wasted a really good opportunity for a great LD/ possible OBE.

the sleep cycle starts when you go to sleep. It doesnt matter what time you go to sleep, the only thing that matters is how long you slept first. So your idea of going to sleep at midnight would get you closer to SP is just placebo.

Have you tried WILDing in complete darkness without any noise? It works for me alot easier. You know for sure anything you hear or see is made up from your mind, cause there is no noise or light around you. It might help.

as for the rest, it sounds like you got pretty far for not doing a WBTB. Maybe if you do one, you will get all the way through. Its honestly not that time consuming. Set your phone alarm, wake up, stay up till you feel pretty awake ( could be 5 min, could be 30), then go back to bed. I honestly dont know why so many people are avoiding it.

I've got more lucids WILDing without doing WBTB. Also, I get startled quite easily, and it's not that I'm afraid of the hallucinations, but without other noise or light, I'll get startled easily by them and I'll stop trying to WILD.

Thats cool man. I've experienced SP only ONCE, and it was partial at that. Hasn't happened again SINCE that time, I think there's a block in my mind where I'm telling myself that I can't do it!

I'll keep trying though, and I've cut out the ganja (its been the longest 2 days of my life) so I expect results soon. But I haven't even had a DILD yet so I supppose maybe that's why WILD'ing isn't working?

I don't know, but I haven't given up yet! haha

That sounds horrifying. I was half expecting you to wake up to a baby alien.

it's strange, because you know when you go through the whole "hearing things" stage? when read that bit in your post my eyes widened. while i go through the stages in a WILD i get this amazing sense of euphoria and it doesent wake me up. i feel like i'm about to explode, or as if im just moving at insane speeds, or the vibrations, all the while wanting to laugh out loud in this complete euphoria. i can only hope to experience the whale bit.
I need my sleep. I need about eight hours a day, and about ten at night.

Sounds like you were halusnating. My boyfriend says that happens a lot when you try to WILD. I don't know.... but sometimes I begin hearing noises I make out be voices. Try not to focus on it. You're not going to die from trying to lucid. Promise.

yeah the images, the sounds, the rollar coaster feelings, and all those other things are not weird or super natural in any way. This happens all the time every night. The only difference is this time, you are conscious.

oh and mesmerized, thats a funny way to spell hallucinating.

Don't worry about 1 missed lucid dream. It may be dissapointing but at least you know that
you're one step farther in the process into getting into a LD
