How do you escape a dream?

      That seems so real?

I just had a "lucid dream" that literally was two days in the dream world.
Everything seemed real, more realistic than any lucid dream I've had before.

I mean, everything was as it should be, I went to class but, ate lunch, went to the bathroom, hung out etc.

But I noticed I never learned anything in class those two days, it was something I already knew. I did reality checks and they all worked except for one in my third period.

I've always been interested in telekinesis and thought I was awake (First day) so I decided to instead of checking the time again (12:00) I focused on changing the time in the past. I look again and it's 11:55.

That probably was what made me suspicious. Then later I tried falling asleep in class and I kept seeing a pair of eyelids open while my eyes were closed seeing a ceiling. So I gave up because it odded me out. I tripped later that day and although I didn't feel any pain at all I had to get a band-aid.

Well the rest of the day was uneventful but I kept kind of getting distracted and had a hard time focusing.

I went to bed and tried doing a WILD but nothing, no tingling sensation vibrations voices or anything.

2 hours later I gave up and fell asleep normally.

I woke up the next day (False awakening) took a shower, ate breakfast and went to class. We started the poetry unit. Second period hits and I notice. The world is flat, my depth perception is gone.

That freaks me out for a bit, then lunch comes by and when I reach for my money it's all gone. I then find a 20$ bill under my foot and buy a pretty decent meal.

3rd period hits, and we jump right into WW2 from the French revolution (I always looked forward to WW2) and she wouldn't give me an explanation.

4th period and it's all SSR and I pull out a book I've read before, Eldest.

I hang out with friends the day goes by and the more time passes by the less real the world feels, everytime I close my eyes I see the outline of my bedroom, the breeze is there but I stop feeling anything I get freaked out by this detached feeling and decide to take a 1 hour nap.

I try to do another WILD and again get absolutely nothing. So I try to see where those barely open eyelids take me and focus on opening them. Eventually they open and I see my alarm clock saying "5:53 AM." in fuzzy lettering.

I focus on that then I start getting a tingling sensation and a blasting headache, my whole body goes numb and cold somehow at the same time.

Then I find myself sitting in my bed paralyzed, it's 5:55 AM and I'm creeped out thinking it was a dream, but it seemed more real than life a second ago.

I finally move, look at my computer clock and notice it's two days in the past. Today not much was like my dream but I did find a 5 on the ground in passing period.

However that whole time I had that sense, that life was unreal. That I was dreaming.

If that happens again how should I get out? How can I be certain I'm dreaming and what would a safe way to wake up be?

I know if all else fails I can do something that mortally wounds me but what if that doesn't wake me up? What if I thought I was dreaming but it was reality...

I'm really confused guys, anyone care to lend me your two cents?

Why would you want to wake up? You could do so many exciting things! Just have fun in the dream.

How can I have fun in a fake world where I can't control anything?

It's a Lucid dream, therefore you've realised your dreaming, even if you can't control it, you know you are dreaming and so can relax if not have fun.

well it's too bad you had to spend two days worth of a dream at school.
I would be really mad if it were me.

aww :x never had a normal day at school dream lol.. but I can basically wake up whenever I want to, which has saved me from so many nightmares x_x getting killed helps too I've been shot more than once and only once It didn't wake me up, I just stood up and walked away xD ..not that you should jump off the roof to see if you're dreaming :x maybe try pinching or slapping yourself since I've never experienced real pain, although the senses work normally :x

A 100% successfull way to get out of a lucid dream is to generate excitement, enough excitement will kill your dream and wake you up. As for escaping a nightmare, it's the only way I know how to properly get out of being asleep.

If you have another experience like that, try levitating stuff (including yourself). It will tell you if it's a dream and it tends to freak the DCs out generating a fun dream =)

I did that once, shame no one saw me though.

(But that wasn't lucid so I didn't know, it was realistic enough though)

yeah I experienced that once before. I knew it was a dream, and somehow it was so boring that I can't wait to get out of it. I tried to, but it didn't work. i hardly remember what I tried. All I remember is that, I can't do anything, I'm only able to control myself, not being able to do anything extraordinary that night. So what I did was, I went on top of a building, all the way to the top, and tell myself I would wake up after this fall.

      I jumped.

I felt the wind running through my entire body.

Down i went, faster and faster.

I see myself moving down towards the ground so fast, I can feel the distance, nearer and nearer to the solid ground below me.

No sense of fear in me as I knew it was a dream all along.

And guess what? I hit the ground, and it didn't hurt at all =( I didn't wake up. I just waited till my alarm rang. sighh..what a dream. =D but it was funny while it lasted. I did everything but I just couldn't wake up. Guess my body won, again.
