Afterwards I feel like my body isn't paralyzed anymore and that's how I know I'm in a dream and then can get up and walk around. You will most likely have to do things to stabilize the dream...rubbing my hands works for me and saying "I'm in a dream.." a few times.
Oh and btw, if you 'get up' in your dream too early, you most likely will be messed up. As in you wont be able to open your eyes correctly and might feel physically 'retarded' - that happens to me anyways.
Goodluck buddy!
So that must be my problem! This has happened in all of my three successful WILDs. Thanks.
As for the SP I kind of skip it. I focus more on the HI and by becoming involved in that the SP will come naturally. It's a tricky state which I'm trying to perfect since you have to be sort of half-conscious to do it and I mostly fall asleep. Originally when I was waiting on SP I would never get it because I was thinking about it too often. Like you I would get a little tingly, feel like I was melting into the bed, but not much else. I could also move if I wanted to. Once you do get into SP, (though I'm by no means an expert), I think you should just relax and let it all wash over you. Don't resist it or think about how SP is very scary, etc. It is my opinion that SP does not have to be scary; my experiences with it have been more relaxing than anything. As I've just learned I've been getting up too early. I would get up after I felt a lot of vibrations around my body (you'll know what I mean when you get them) suddenly stop. I don't feel a "shift" or something. It feels as though I never left the bed. I guess that part is something you have to experiment with, as do I.
If any more experienced WILDers object to what I said, just correct me below.
