Unhappy I can't escape even by spinning!

Hey everyone, I have had quite a few LDs but there always seems to be a DC around and I find it hard to get rid of them. Last night I tried flying away from one who kept trying to stab me with a syringe but they just followed me (they too could fly apparently!) So then I tried spinning for the first time ever in an attempt to move to a new environment but it only woke me up. I thought spinning was supposed to be really effective! Anyway, I'm thinking next time I'll try making a door appear behind me that leads to a private garden and I'll just walk through it. But I suspect the DC will just follow me through.

Does anyone have any good tips for escaping from annoying and distracting DCS?

Also, any good tips on the best method to move into a new environment?

      Thanks

ehhhhhhh!! You're doing everything wrong!!!. Don't try to run away from a DC period!!..It doesnt matter if he has a shotgun or what ever!!!!. Confront him!!. I learned a very powerful lesson: that is.. Not to fear your DCs and it doesn't matter how scary looking they are. Dude, if you get engaged in some sort of fear in any dream, it'll only get stronger and eventually you'll wake up crying to your mommy.. In your Lucids, you are the creator. Meaning, whatever you have created, you can also destroy it. You are god!!. Then if your are god, why in the world would you fear your own creations. cmon....!!!!

Use your courage and stand up in your lucids. Eventually if you do stand up, congrats!!! you're the winner!! Last night I had just became lucid and out of nowhere, i see about 4 guys with bats. For the first few secs i thought " omg i should run away!!! or i'm gonna end up beaten." Instead of running away, I stood up to them while thinking to myself "Hey, why in the world do i have to fear my own creations!! for god's sake!!! I'm f*cking lucid!!" .....These guys ended up running away from me instead like any DC would if he finds himself in trouble...

Hope this gave you a lesson

Oooh almost forgot.... A good method that I use to move into a new environment is I would go through the ground and eventually I'd endup somewhere else. The trick is to master going through walls first. I learned that by experimenting in my LDs. Long before a went through any wall, I had first mastered the skill of sticking my right hand through my left. After I got good enough, I then began with walls and now can go through the ground easily "Don't think you can do it, know you can do it!"

Confidence is the key to anything!!!!!

LOL this is the funniest dream I've heard in a while

I'd give him a slap in his face to make him come to his senses. And then ask him "Why the hell would you wanna stab me?"

Dream characters usually represent fears or persons in your life. This character obviously represents the fear of syringes. I'd let him stab me, he's probably a doctor and he tries to heal or something.. I mean, did you actually get stabbed? Take the syringe! It's filled with syringefear antidote.

Ha ha! Thanks guys! I wasn't actually scared of this person with a syringe (and yes they did get me a couple of times and I felt it too! Not badly though) It was more just an annoyance that I couldn't make them go away or get away from them. I wanted to meet up with a deceased relative in my dream and talk to them but I couldn't get any privacy. I stood there knowing it was all my creation but just not having the mind power to make them go away. At the moment in my LDs all I seem to be able to control is myself. I want to learn to control DCs and the environment then I will truly be freeeeeeeee!

Well if you have complete control in your dream have an epic battle with them. Just summon a hand gun, gun > syringe .

Ive had DC's who shrugged off bullets like they were Nerf darts. Might want to try something a little more hands on.

If you were looking for privacy, perhaps asking them to leave would have been a good idea. If they are a menacing DC, you could try going through a door and making the door disappear behind you so that they can't come through, or you could encase them in a box of glass or behind a wall or something along those lines so that they can't come after you. If they continue to come after you, send them to what I call a "dead zone," a hypothetical location where no powers can be used, even in a dream. Open a door to the dead zone and throw them in.

You could always ask other DCs for help in getting rid of them. If all else fails, yell out "Stop!" or "Freeze!" and make everything stop moving so that you can walk away.

As far as spinning, any time you close your eyes (which often happens while spinning), you run the risk of waking up. It can be a useful technique to accomplish various tasks for some people, but not all techniques work for everyone. Find what works for you.

yeah, notice how my goal says face my fears? thats exactly it. you kant run. not that your afraid or anything, but come on. you really think some dc that can fly is gonna match you? just bust out a matrix scene and there will be no way hell want to follow you anymore. as for the enviroment thing, i liked the idea you had! if he stops following you just step into a private garden of some sort, all zen like. and if he goes in there even after you kicked his ass, i suggest you use some other technique than spinning since that didnt work for you. you kan try

      1. pull out a wand and banish him to the end of the universe
      2. throw him into a portal or something
3.i dont know, chain him up in a prison with guards or something! be creative!

Thanks everyone! Amethyst Star, you are so right about closing your eyes. It definitely seems to make me wake up. I'm going to plan in advance before I go to sleep how to deal with an annoying DC so that I am ready to escape them! I'm thinking I might stun them with a bolt of electricity from my hand. That could be a fun and useful superpower to learn! Especially if I ever get caught in a nightmare...
