The numb feeling is SP, you probably know that.
Now, from this point 4 things can happen:
1) You enter a luciddream, successful WILD.
2) You enter a dream, failed WILD, though you might get a DILD, since for some reason, chances are bigger, if you 'prepared' with a WILD. DILD is kinda the plan b for WILD, should it fail.
3) You fall asleep (not remembering any dreams), failed WILD.
4) You get out of SP during the attempt to enter a luciddream, or you just loos it, a failed WILD.
Now, you obviously want (1) to happen, so what you want to do is attempt transition. Transitioning can be done in a lot of ways!
Some people like to just feel, and suddenly it starts feeling like they're sinking through the bed. At this point, they should probably just wait a minute, or maybe just seconds, and they can raise from their bed, lucid.
Other people get HI, hypgogic imagery, which is basically just pictures and short 'films' passing by ones vision. If you focuse on one of them, you're likely to enter the scene, and thus enter a luciddream.
There are other more unusual ways, like OBE, though I don't feel like getting unto that kind of stuff, since it's more of a spiritual and perhaps religious method, than just a raw dream related method.
I hope that cleared out some things for you
