About seven hours on the weekdays, but I make up for it on the weekends. Figure an average of eight hours of sleep, which means sixteen hours awake. An extra eight hours is fifty pecent.

No, I love sleep. Even when I don't get lucid or recall a dream. I really love sleep.

I'm surprised that so many people said they would stop sleeping if they could. While sleeping is a pain in the ass during the week, ultimately no, I would not give up sleep. Having a 5-10 hour break from all of the stress that comes with life is nice, it keeps one from going insane and lucid dreaming gives me the ability to see and feel things I most likely will never experience.

Yeah I would never give up sleep. I REALLY need the downtime, and I bet every single one of you does too, no matter how much you'd like to think you can just stay awake every hour of the day for the rest of your life. Sleep also breaks up the days... I don't think I'd fair very well psychologically if the rest of my life was like one perpetual never ending day. Omg just thinking about it makes me want to jump out a window and kill myself.

This topic doesn't talk about giving up sleep altogether, only the need for it.
I wouldn't give up sleep altogether, but I would take this option.

Then I could stay up all night if I wanted and still function 100%. But other days I'd go to sleep, either because I want to try for a lucid, or I'm bored, or just want some downtime, whatever. Being awake eternally would get tiring at some point, even if you don't need rest.

So as long as I can still go to sleep if I want, then I would take it.
