That happens to me a lot. In fact, just last week I had a dream about writing an article about lucid dreaming. And other times, I'm like, "Hey, this is only a dream," but I don't really do anything about it, which can be frustrating. |

I've been interested in lucid dreaming for 2 years. My issue happens a lot lately. When I'm dreaming, I know I'm dreaming, without realizing my advantages. Things happen in my dreams like, "I can do this. Besides, I'm dreaming." Most of the time the dreams start when I'm aware I'm dreaming, but not realizing my advantages. Hard to explain. It's like a normal dream, but I unconsciously know that I'm dreaming. With this bit of advantage, how do I get myself actually conscious enough to realize I can do anything in my dreams? I've had much experience with lucid dreams before, and this issue is rather odd for me right now. Is there a solution? |

I see what you're saying, but I mean like that phrase: the lights are on, but nobody's home. In other words, like I'm HAVING a dream that I'm lucid, but I never think, "Hey, you're lucid. You can do anything now." It's funny, because I have these dreams so often. |

I have the same exact issue, i would say that about 95% of my dreams I am aware that I am dreaming, but I don't use that to my advantage, like controling things or fully becoming aware. I do get lucid through them on occasion but it is more like *click* lucid have fun type thing. |

~I must not fear. Fear is the mind-killer. Fear is the little-death that brings total obliteration. I will face my fear. I will permit it to pass over me and through me. And when it has gone past I will turn the inner eye to see its path. Where the fear has gone there will be nothing. Only I will remain.~

You could simply categorise your situation as semi-lucidity. It sure sounds like it. |
