      Summoning People!!!!!

      Hiya.

I remember that this was discussed somewhere before, but I don't know where and I didn't much read it because I wasn't at that point in my LDing career yet.

So, what's a good way to summon people in your LDs? Last night I tried imagining the person behind me and turning around, tried pointing to where I wanted the person to be (actually, that sounds pretty stupid now ), and I yelled his name soooooooo loud that it reverberated through the entire town.. nothing, nada, zip. Anyone got any tips?

Summoning people has always been difficult for me as well. I can sympathize with you when you call out their names! One time, I focussed my energy as best I could and released it and called out for Lost Soul to join me. It was as if the entire fabric of the universe shuttered, but alas, no Lost Soul

I usually have to find the person I want to meet. Sometimes they are around a corner. One time while flying, I was able to find Jill1978 during one of our failed dream sharing experiments.

How about...flying up in the air really high...then flying down again, and expect when you go down there to land at the house of that person?..Then go inside. o_o; Just a guess.

During the first WILD I ever experienced, I closed my eyes and imagined this amorphous blob behind me turn into a person. It would probably be much simpler to summon an amorphous blob and then turn it into a person, but this was the one and only time I've ever tried to summon something, so I could have just gotten really lucky.

Thanks guys, those suggestions are definitely worth trying!

Hehe, blobs are nice. With my luck though, it'd be the head of the person and the body of a blob.

Please feel free to summon me anytime you get lucid. I'd really like to share a dream with someone.

Okay, I will. It sort of seems like it'd be easier to summon another LDer. I wonder how you'd know though if you were being summoned. Maybe you'd hear a booming voice calling you.. or get a postcard in the mail..

Strange Schwigglie....i always thought you put enough focus and energy into it, you can summon people imagen there behind a door (anywhere) consentrate and open it... i guess that'd be the easier way... i dunno..just a thought

Yeah the door is a good idea also. Except I wasn't inside a house, and I really wanted to stay outside. I guess this can be difficult at times. I think it all depends on your state of mind during the dream, and the level of lucidity you are at..

Its a LD. Just think it and it should happen. That is how it works for me. I simply can't comprehend why it is difficult to do anything once you establish the LD consciousness. It is probably for this reason precisely that I do not do well at teaching another to LD. I have never employed any technique to enter the LD state. I just go to sleep and awake into the dream environment. Has anybody in the site ever researched any material about why some people naturally LD? I would really be interested in the info.

Well you, being a natural, have had much more experience and feel perfectly comfortable in a lucid dream, and of course you have plenty of control.. I had a few lucids scattered throughout my life and only learned to have them at will since joining DV. I think a lot of people, including myself, just have to get used to the idea that you can do anything you want, that you're not bound by the physical world. I got flying down, now it's time to summon, whoo!

It would be really intresting to have a giant "dreamviews dreamscape" Take/draw pictures of a certain room, with some ideal tools (a pen, paper, etc). Then people dreamscape there if they get lucid, write a message down on paper or talk to anybody there...Sure, a massive organizational problem but it would be neat idea.
