      Food

I was looking at the Lucid Task of the Month and it made me think.
How does food taste in Lucid Dreams.
I am eager to hear the tales of others, so please report your experiences with food in lucid dreams.

Mine just tasted exactly the same, ended up having a meal with my family in a lucid dream with little control lol, i could only control what i said, safe to say it was the worst lucid dream ever.

I took a little bit of the bun and popped it into my mouth. It was the correct texture, but mostly tasteless. I put on the patty and tried again. It was very juicy and I tasted it as if it were loaded with all the condiments and vegetables. However I was only eating a patty and a bun!"

Interesting, I actually just remembered I had eaten only a patty with a bun. I do remember that it was very juicy; more so than in real life but to the point where it was pretty much perfect. I've also had a couple experiences eating cheese in nonlucid dreams that I figure I might as well include:

"We then went to an outdoor marketplace, though the shop we went to was indoors. Inside were lots of assorted foods, but most displayed were two different cheeses. One was wrapped in blue plastic, while the other was left uncovered and was very gritty and dry. I tried the covered one, which tasted just like Gouda cheese. Quite good I thought, and tried a bit more. My dad decided to buy the whole thing! The other cheese was different. It didn't have much of a taste, I think the thing it resembled was ammonia. I tasted it in my nose, much like an onion. I didn't really like it unsurprisingly. After we left the shop I started to eat the cheese we just bought. It was nasty now with a bitter taste and made me feel like gagging."

This shows that taste can be unstable I guess, just like other elements in both lucid and nonlucid dreams.

"I somehow got to a cheese factory. They talked to me about a cheese taster named Max who was traveling the world. There was a hanging block of cheese. I took a little. It was just OK, and it tasted like the cheap Gouda cheese you buy in supermarkets. My parents seemed to think it was amazing though."

Nothing too remarkable about this really. I just ate some crappy cheese which tasted normal.

There is also the "eat something uneatable" lucid task going on like you said, so I might as well eat some food while I'm at it next time I get lucid! Oooh, please be tonight.

I had, once some multi colored candies in a non-LD, they were unlike any candy I had ever tried, and it is hard to explain a taste and texture..but it was gummy, yet creamy, a taste resembling a Green Apple candy cane (which I havent eaten in years). It was pretty cool.

I wonder if they're is a difference from LD and non-LD experiences especially in regards to food eating.

non-ld is a non-lucid dream. It means a dream, without lucidity.
