How to not get sidetracked by sex.

I would like someone to create a tutorial on how to avoid turning LD's into sex stories lol.

Well, if you're having sex dreams, doesn't that mean you want to have them on some level? Why fight it?

It just takes practice. Think of some other things that you want to accomplish, and incubate those. Eventually you will start doing those things instead of immediately trying to find a good-looking DC every time you get lucid.

Thats what i do now and it works, apart from when i am approached by a very good looking dream character (not always successful then) but that hasn't happened for a few weeks now.

Well, yea...if they start it, then just go with it. I figured he was the one starting it all. I think that is a common thing to do at first, but it goes away after a while.

He just needs another worthy goal.

I think getting some in waking life would help with the over-abundance of sex dreams.

I think that it's just about wating ... at some point you will learn that it will only ruin your dreams. At least thats what i feel is happening to me at this point, after having wasted so many lucids

Not necessarily, if you master lucid sex it won't be an issue.

Though that would be difficult to achieve.

Of course it would'nt be a problem at all, if you were able to do it without waking up. If you are skilled enough to do that, i guess that you are also skilled enough to leave the sex behind, and do something else, and then there would'nt be a problem at all...

It's like masturbation. It's impossible to stop.

Not that I've ever experienced sex in dreams before....

I say it's all in self-control. When lucid, sure I've wanted to do those sort of things, but I know I can always do them, lucid or not, and go on doing the things I feel I'd die if I didn't try while lucid.

That's true, but usually you'd have plans and get sidetracked and end up not getting the original plan done. Happened to me before.

Of course. All successful lucid dreamers do. Otherwise, how would you know if you actually became lucid or if you just dreamed that you did?

Not to derail, but could you explain that? I don't really get how those would be connected.
