Tell me the limit of lucid dreaming

I'm not expecting any answers such as "your imagination". I realize this entire board is dedicated towards achieving lucidity and control, but for the people who have accoplished this(self proclaimed Lucid gods) what have you found impossible to do? What limits does the mind have?

To throw some out> Is it possible to dream in two places at once and be aware at both? Is it possible to split your vision 360 degrees? Is it really possible to turn an object into something else while looking directly at it?

While your imagination is the limit. It is somewhat limited itself. There are somethings you just cannot due because your imagination has no answer for it. I do not think I could be in two places and be aware of both. (but I am going to work on it anyways now) I have however, split my vision 360 degrees. It may not really look like that but that is how I imagined it and it was awesome. For me, morphing stuff is no problem. I normally have 100% control over stuff like that.

I will tell you something kind of silly but I cannot do it. I love sunkist! It is the best soda ever and I cannot drink it in my dreams! Every time I open a can or bottle and take a drink, it taste like coke! The liquid is orange and everything. It might have to do with constant advertising everywhere you look by coke a cola... One day I will drink sunkist in my dreams!!!

Good luck and Keep on Dreaming!!!

The only thing i have found impossible to do so far is creating new colors

Never take life seriously. Nobody gets out alive anyway.

      thats a good Q..
iv been going at this subject with full force trying to figure out what can and cant be done..
      so here goes:
you can change and control everything in your dream at will (for me i can do this only at 1 out of 10 maybe with 100% and the rest go from about 10% upward)
i know ppl can teleport, for some reason i havent been able to look at a far away place and be there in a sec via teleport, only superfast movement..
its very hard to do some things, but at one point or another you'll do it, BUT its very hard to do things that you cant imagin how thay'd be like- i think maybe thats y i cant teleport at will, shapeshifting is very hard cos you dont know how its like to have wings or walk on four like an animal, iv turned into a dragon but still felt like me, but that was a mistake cos i turned my hands into wings when i should'v grown a pair of wings and imagin tham work.. i once turned into a unicorne and it felt ok but not really as if i was one..
if you really think about things in your mind- you'll see for your self that there r things you feel can be done (even if you cant do em right now) and things you can't- that probly r cos your human and cant imagin looking from both eyes plus having another eye on your ass and seeing from it also.. or maybe you can.. anyways- the good news r that all the really cool things are very much possible in ld and feelings and visuals are the same as real life and better sometimes.. (and wors another..)

It depends how long you have been doing it, and how you go about teaching yourself to expand your awareness in LD. For example, I am at the point where I have LDs about every other night. Sometimes I might go for a week not having them, but that goes with the territory. But I have learned to meditate in my LDs (amazing). I have formed a rainbow and made it run completely vertical. I had the intention of viewing everything in the dream in its natural state of energy (incredible), I have made a flower turn into water. I have 'swam' inside the ground, I have had OBE's.
But it took me a long time to learn how to stretch my imagination to do these things. One of the biggest problems to overcome is to learn how to stabilize the dream without having to focus on it all of the time. And sometimes, in order to do this, you must exist in 3 places at the same time. One - knowing and feeling that you are asleep in bed. Two - focusing and concentrating that you are stable in the LD. Three - Have those running in the background almost unconsciously so you can do what you want o do without concern of falling out of lucidity. And when you feel yourself falling out of lucidity, you can pull number two (and one) into focus to regain clarity without completely falling out of whatever experience you are having.
That is what I mean by the level of experience you have in LDing. The more natural it becomes, the more freedom (thanks to stability) you can attain.

If you are wondering, in truth, how far you can go, learn how to let your subconscious guide you. That is done by meditating while LDing, with intention. I have found that when doing this (which is the only way I do it nowadays) whatever you have planned to experience is far surpassed. Whatever you thought to experience is so much beyond it, you cannot imagine that your imagination came up with it. (Personally, I do not think it is your imagination, but that you are accessing alternate realms/realities when you achieve this state. There are many reasons why I know this, but it is too long to get into. It has to do with vibrations/OBEs etc.)

Very interesting post. I would like to know more about it.. especially on the accessing of alternate realms/realities, maybe you should get into it or do you have some link with more info on it? You seem to be really good at lucid dreaming and dream control ^^ I especially like the idea of meditating in your dreams
