      Faceless

If this has been asked already, sorry! I did a search and nothing came up. However my question is-is it normal for dream characters to be faceless? I recognize them but I still would like to see thier faces. Any way I can?

interesting. I noticed that I can never really see their faces either. I see them, but I don;t. I don't know...it's like I never directly look at thier faces. the solution: lucid dream. I had a LD in which I walked outside, and saw a few young men deep in a conversation. I stopped and looked at one guy..strait in the face...

Thats exactly how mine are. I can never seem to be able to look them directly in the face. OR if I do it is kind of blury or smeared out. I am going to start trying lucid dreaming asap (last night I had no dreams that I was aware of)

I think alot of times we recognize people by emotion instead of their face, because last night I had a dream where the person looked like bob pintziati from that 70's show, but I recognized him as my uncle.

A faceless person in a LD is merely YOU in another aspect.

Faces can represent the way others look at you or how you think they look at you, or how you wanna apear to them, this is not nessary though, its never nessary..

When LDing you are the creator as well as the created. You are both teacher and student (ego and Self).

It probably isn't that you don't see the faces, you probably just don't remember them, so in effect, they weren't there...

As others said, I can see faces fine, although there are some dreams where everything is darker or unclear, faces or not.

WEll the dreams are very detailed and I can remeber specifically not seeing faces. I can see heads bodies but just blank skin colored area where the faces are. But I know exactly who they are.

Have you come in contact with any Amish lately?
The dolls and childrens toys have no faces also.

Probably irrelevant, but thought I would throw it out.

i know what your saying exactly, because that happens to me alot...it seems i recognize them by the location they are at, certain expressions they make...the car they drive, emotions, etc...

i dont want to talk to you anymore, i'm afraid of what i might say, every time you come around i bite my tongue, cause blood in my mouth beats blood on the ground[/b]

I once heard (or read...can't remember) that you can not make up faces. That a face that you see in your dreams, you have seen before.
      Has anyone heard the same?
      Thanks!

I never read it but its very much possible, you see loadsa people during the day when you walk around town or school, or work or whatever. You see their faces but you dont pay attention to them, put subconsiously your are storing their faces and they might apear in a dream sometimes.

On the other hand, you might see face that is a mix of several faces you saw before, making a new unknown face
