Dream walker? I'm assuming that's someone who is exposed to dreams?
And for a dream guide I'm pretty sure you're referring to a "Dream journal" which is basically your diary for dreams.

I'm pretty sure that's what you were talking about. Got any clarification or care to elaborate?

      A'ight..

      (My own belief incomming)
A dream guide, is yourself, but in a 'clean' kinda way, your subconscious. A way to imagine it is this.

Imagine, you're in a dillema, you have two choices, one is very tempting, and you know that you would gain alot from doing it. The other, is a way that will gain yourself less, but for whatever reason is also tempting. You have no idea what you want to do. But you do! You just don't have the ability to answer because of the other options temptation! But your Dream Guide knows it. Which is to say, you know it, deep down in your subconscious mind, you know what you want, and you can have your subconscious' answers through your Dream Guide.

Also know this, fobias(sp?) and other fears are placed at the bottom of the ice berg (the mind) so this is only subconscious things, you have forgotten them. Fears are hidden down there, between this hell-like place of your mind there is a gate.
This gate is opened when you watch (some) scary movies! There could be answers behind this gate.
If you believe it, this gate can be opened, because, it's your own mind!
And your dreamguide exists if you believe it, and if you believe it, your dreamguide can enter the gate, fetch back answers, and thus give you answers, and holey woley you got answers! And I believe too that the appearance is your subconscious too, so when you meet it, it will have the appearance your subconscious thinks your subconscious looks like.

Dream Walkers, this is a mysterious bunch of people from the real world who can go to your dreams and give you nightmares. For the lulz, probably. . . (att: the dots...)

Here's a well written thread about how to find your DreamGuide, the oppinions and beliefs you find in it will be going straight against mine. But the methods it explains for how to find it should work, wether you believe in mine, spiritofthewolfs, or any other peoples view on DreamGuides. http://dreamviews.com/community/showthread.php?t=32145

Some argue that a dream guide is a recurring person in your dream who helps you and seems very wise.

Others say a dream guide is a person in your dream who helps you, but doesn't have to be recurring.

Dream Walkers are supposedly a group of humans who can get into other people's dreams. They fight against the Night Stalkers who like to get into other people's dreams and cause nightmares, often with the intent of "sucking up your energy." The "Beyond Dreaming" forum has a long runing post on the DWs and NSs. Most people assume the stories about DWs and NSs is a bunch of bull told for the lulz. Others believe deeply in them and will tell you about their own (or their roommate's ex-girlfriend's sister's) experiences of them.
