Lucid While Sleep Walking?

I was wondering if you could become lucid when you sleep walk? Has anyone ever done it? And if you could, would be able to take a bit of control of your body and move it while still asleep? Also, I would like some people who get lucid easily to try this, I would try myself but I probably won't get be getting lucid anytime soon.

I haven't sleep walked since I was a little kid, but I do move around a lot in my sleep: kicking, hitting the walls and my bed partner, yelling and talking, etc. I often AM lucid when I do these things, as it just "feels" different from normal action in a dream. Tends to feel very difficult, as if my limbs are really heavy or my mouth is glued shut.

Anyone sleep walk here? This is a cool question.

I can remember when I first joined dreamviews some 4 years ago I asked the same question , I think it might be possible I mean when you sleep walk your just really working off from the same system as you are in lucid dreams. It's probably a rare occurence since about .05% (randomly guessed percentage) of anyones given sleep cycle on avergage is sleep walking.

Sleepwalking falls under a class of sleep disorders called parasomnia. Other such disorders include sleep talking, tooth grinding, and sexsomnia.

It is caused by unusual brain activity during sleep. It usually affects children, but can be found in adults too.

It typically occurs during slow-wave sleep, but can occur during REM. As many know, LDs occur primarily during REM sleep, but they can occur in other stages. I would think, because of this, that it is unlikely to sleepwalk while LDing.

Parasomnias are disorders caused by abnormal sleep arousal. I am not even sure if it is possible to trigger this kind of arousal in an LD. Smaller ones like sleeptalking or movement within the bed might be possible, I really can't be certain.

Don't even know why you would want to do it. I think it would be rather dangerous. It is an interesting thought though.
