Smile Yesterday was my first day back to the DV forums...

I hadn't visited DV in the longest time, and I was neglecting my dream journal, reality checks, etc. so naturally I hadn't had an LD in months. Just after ONE DAY back to DV I managed to have an LD last night, and I remembered about 6 of my dreams (compared to the 0-2 I was remembering). The LD was short as I experienced a false awakening, but I can't stress how important these forums have been in helping me along with my progress! I thought it would take me a while to get back into it, but I guess I was wrong. I'm excited now.

I do have a question though. In my dream, after I became lucid, I decided to try and fly. I did it without much of a problem, but there have been two other times where I became lucid and for some reason couldn't get off the ground. I used to have lucid dreams when I was little where I knew I was dreaming but for some reason couldn't perform a certain action or task, and I'm not really sure why. If my mindset is "I can't do that, it's not possible" in a dream, could that prevent me from being able to do things?

Yes, it can. Thats why its important to have confidence. Flying in lucid dreams is easy, just do it.

I tend to have a lot of self-doubt once I become lucid. Looks like I'll need to start working on my confidence along with improving the quality and length of my LDs in general! Thanks.
