Evil tempting you in dreams, coming through to Waking life

So I am finally remembering bits of dreams almost every night, none lucid but a few where i was dreaming i was lucid, so thats a start.

On friday night I had a dream, I only remember one part of it in great detail. I injected myself with heroin. It was in slow motion, i could feel it pumping through my veins, the pain of taking the needle out and pressing on it, and it entering my brain.

To most people this would be a negative dream but to me it was as if "the devil" or negative demons in my subconscious was trying to tempt me.

I woke up craving H so bad and was going to score if it wasnt for my boyfriend who literally broke down sobbing and begging me not to do it. I thought he was just overeggagerating until he took heaps of valium just so he wouldnt have a heart attack. In the end I didnt do it but I could have.

Why would my dream do that to me? (and why the hell didnt i recognise my dreamsign? )

      sorry for graphics
a child's rhyme stuck in my head
it said life is but a dream
i spent so many years in question
to find i known this all along..

That seems like a rather intense dream! Have you ever done heroin before? Not to get personal or anything, but it would just be too damn strange if you hadn't....
      If I hadn't made me
I'd be more inclined to bow
Powers that be would have swallowed me up
But that's more than I can allow...

I find that, in order to get over addiction, you must get a new, less harmful addiction is place of it. Try marijuana (psychological, but still good) so that way, if you every crave H, just light up and float away. Not only that, it's less expensive and more available.

      hi

      hi nebulae
if you have not done H for 2 years now then that is a great achievement. maybe the dream is a sign that there are yet unsolved issues concerning certain behavioural patterns or suppressed feelings or whatever and that you are now ready to talk / think more about how you ever got involved with H and how and which "triggers" cause any type of craving in your life. as a professional in the healthcare area i would certainly NOT recommend to do marijuana when craving appears - you must face it consciously and endure it and understand the emotional underlying patterns that cause such craving.
i cannot emphasize enough how great it is that you have been clean now for 2 years - do not endanger that by giving in - face the dragon!
