I stopped caring and the dreams stopped

I stopped doing reality checks and even thinking about lucids pretty much. I guess it's the summer lazy bug. The lucids pretty much went from atleast 3 a week to none. Seems I lost my motivation. Then I started seriously again for the course of few days and had 1 a night for three nights. Maybe the break helped. Maybe this is a good idea; to give it up for a while and come back strong.

Oh well..I'm lazy again now. Any motivational ideas?

The same thing happened to me! when I joined this site a few years back I was so motivated and had so many dreams it was great, eventually I just lost the motivation and everything just stopped. I recently became active because I long for that excitement! and its all coming back to me!!!!!

what do you do mostly? I mean after that long you probably got a system worked out. I've been doing it for about 6-7 mos and still keep trying different tactics.

I stopped trying for a couple years, and my recall disappeared completely. In the few dreams I did remember, I had great dream control, but no lucidity. I guess it is good to know that you can always go back to normal dreaming if you want.

well I use binaural beats for inducing WILD's and for DILD's I find just becoming aware of your surroundings and yourself really up the amount of those babies! if your interested in the WILD MP3's lemme know! they work wonders and are the most realistic, vivid, and controlled lucids I've ever had!

      Hi,
Yes. I need to ramp them up. I've tried some of those, like theta and delta mp3's. The ones that are relaxing and sound like water running or waves in the ocean. I dont listen to them much anymore and don't think they ever gave me lucid dreams. Which do you use, or are they the same ones? I use my ipod all the time so I'd love to see what you got, and hear more about your approach.

      ...or vice versa.

Mine are nothing like that, I use a CD created by Bradley Thompson. and he guides you through and into a WILD. though there are no waves just fairly odd sounds (sometimes haunting, though I've never had a nightmare) But I've had many successful WILDs with them, especially during nap time! if your interested in them just PM me!

I've been looking for some good induction CDs / MP3s also. I used to have the old school set of CDs from the Monroe Institute (I'm talking about the real old school ones). I lost those in my most recent move. I keep waiting to find something that several people agree is good.

I'll have to check out Bradley Thompson
