Skip to the last paragraph if you just want to read about the flying:

Ok so i've only had 4 lucid dreams but i'm doing fairly good.

I actually stopped taking a dream journal simply because i've been so busy with work and since then my lucid dreams stopped. That was about 4 months ago.

Anyway ... i was having a nap on the weekend and repeated a few time to myself as i fell asleep "i will remember this dream,,, i will remember it"

Ok so i fell asleep and i was dreaming about rock climbing with a friend. Something we do a lot anyway. I realised the rope had a knot in it where it shouldn't have been which was my cue to question if it was a dream and hey presto... lucidity.

It was funny because my friend at that point climbed up onto the ledge of the cliff and i was like "oh don't worry about the rope its only my dream so it doesn't matter if you're not safe".... he was like oh ok cool

Anyway so i was on a cliff high up and thought it would be a good chance to fly... i've tried before and couldn't. I considered just jumping off the cliff but that seemed a little scary... especially if it wasn't a dream.

Flying technique:

Ok so i tried to just fly off and it didn't work. So i thought lets just try and float first... which worked... as i floated up my friend tried to grab me and bring me back down but i was having non of it... at that point i was already in mid air and it was easy to jet off at high speed super man style!

I felt i was loosing lucidity a bit and instead of spinning i barrel rolled in mid air which worked! I came back down and tried to hover about 30ft up.... that kind of didn't work. I fell back down which was scary from 30ft but just landed in a heap to get back up again.

Anyway morals of the story are... if you're trying to fly, float first. If you begin loosing lucidity when in mid flight, do barrel roles.
