      AHAHA! false dreams!

i really thought i was dreaming today! i saw this rubber stamp at work and it was a giant one and they are usually half the size! so i picked it up and i felt like i had shrunk! and i so i assumed i was dreaming and tried to jump really high, and then looked a fool - it didnt work!

at least you didn't try something more radical that you would only do in dreams.

Thats really a good thing. It shows that you are actually qustioning your reality, instead of jsut doing RC's our of habit. Like they say in Waking Life.....(paraphrased)It seems like everyones either wake walking through thier dreams, or sleep walking through their waking life. Either way theyre not gonna get much out of it.....ANd then he talks about doing reality checks, btu the idea is to actually pay attention to your surroundings and actually ask that question seriosly..."Am I awake?"

Andromeda IS a female you schmuck . Andromeda, maybe you should not be a lucid dreamer... especially with mistakes such as that . Next time just do any sort of reality check.

i'm new to Lucid Dreaming...and that's the one thing that really scares me, if i'll ever get to a point where even in my waking life i'm not sure if i'm dreaming or not, so i start performing crazy antics.

HA HA! yeah, you just have to do less obvious reality checks! but i seem to have felt the need to really go for it and just explained to my co-workers what exactly i was doing! they didnt understand needless to say!

If I find myself in a dream, and it's as real as reality, I perform a chain of RCs

it can be analog clock RC, fly RC or something else.

but the point is to be completely sure it's a dream....

RCs also positively influence awareness level and duration of a LD

I wonder if there are any cases with more serious consequences?

I've read jumping off a building and flying is a good thing to do as soon as you think you're dreaming

hmm, very scary. but still, i guess it isn't likely to get that bad if you're sober. if it was actually a dream, it wouldn't have been a very constructive one...
