      Feeling tired.

Now tell me if anyone else notices this after waking from a long night of dreaming..

Whenever I can hit the peak of my lucid dream or wild, I'll find in the morning when I wake I'm tired, even throughout the day I'm sluggish and feel I need more sleep. Could my dreaming have anything to do with this?

Have you been sleeping for longer than usual when you feel that way after dreaming a lot?

Personally, the amount of dreams I remember doesn't affect how tired or sleepy I feel when I wake up or the next day. But, if I sleep too much, then I will feel the way you describe.

If it's a WILD then probably because you don't sleep immediately or soundly and that my guess is you loose sleep. Even with WBTB sleep is also lost.

Aah see now I have a good sleeping rutine. I go to sleep at the same time and I wake at the same time. So I know it's not sleeping too long.
It's usually when I have powerful dreams.

I always feel tired when I wake up, regardless of how much sleep I get. But how tired I feel for the rest of the day usually depends on what I'm doing. If I'm just lounging around and not doing much, I'll stay tired, but if I do something fun or active, I feel more energized.

Then it is your dreaming. I know I felt mental strain when I prolonged the lucid dream for more than it was intended. It was still dreaming but it got more and more straineous like a power drain until I decided to wake up.

I don't find this, unless I am using supplements.

I think I have discovered this, too.
Though I can't say for sure which made me feel anemic
throughout the following day--the lucidity or the oversleeping.

I read in Liber null & Psychonaught (I think) that too much lucid dreaming can be draining,
because you don't get the same restorative sleep in lucid dreaming.

Same experience here. But it might have been oversleeping, too.

Peter Caroll wrote in Liber Null & Psychonaught that too much
      lucid dreaming can be draining.

When I have vivid dreams ,lucid or not, I wake up energized.

I do not try to control my dreams, I let them play out however they unfold without trying to influence them. When I am lucid I simply remain in the awarenss observing.

I wonder if it is controlling a lucid dream that has an effect on waking up tired and drained?????

It's the opposite for me. When I have good LD's I have energy throughout the day.

Sometimes, when I have a good LD early in the night, I get excited about the possiblity or another--which interferes with falling asleep.

But for me, sleep is sleep--lucid or not--and I feel just as refreshed either way.
