      Is it real???

I was really surprised to know there was a lot of people out there who appreciate dreaming like me.

I have experience what you all call as 'lucid dream' since I was a teenager (many years ago). My friends laugh at me when I talk to them about it years ago. I have been keeping it to myself for many years, unable to talk or share about it to anyone since I'm afraid that people will think that I was crazy.

Welcome to the group. Lucid dreaming is quite a normal phenomenon. If you feel that you cannot talk about it in your social circles usbjectively, you may want to bring it up objectively and iscuss scientific studies on lucid dreaming, such as the Laberge experiments.

what i wonder about is how certain people get full control of their dreams (is it called high lucidity?) im sorta skeptical about it. i had dreams where i realized i was dreaming but didnt do much. so i hope to experience it and prove my stupidself wrong

hehe lucind dreaming isisnt normal =)
you all know it... most everyone ignores this half of their lives, and no, you cannot talk about it to most people because they think your nuts...

      However...

We on the otherhand are lucid dreamers or people that realise the significance of lucid dreaming so you may speak anything that is on your mind. We shall not mock nor shall we demean, because most of us know how you feel, hell just look at some of my posts =) I should be a certified nut case but everyone here either says damn seri, those are some messed up dreams or they try to understand them and say what the dream I post about makes them feel, and in turn helps me understand the dreams that I have expereienced, its a learning process... please do not be afraid to open up to us.

And as for levels of lucidity... I can be fully aware that I am dreaming but it does not change the fact that I only have limited controll of the world around me. The mechanism is differnt for me, I have a learning curve, instead of being granted all the powers of a god, I need to learn and bend the ruled of the place I am presently in... I too am envious of those who can just paint the landscapes of their dreams, I would like to give my hand at the process of creation, I guess I am just not ready yet.

So like welcome to the board and stuffs =)

      oh yeah...

Reality is not defined by the masses, it is defined by your individual preception, the dream world is no less real than the world that I am sitting in a hotel room typing on a laptop to all of you. Just because the two realities do not correlate does not mean that one is less real than the other. Live in the dream world, take it as real, you will have much time to ponder existance it gives you an edge, most people just throw their dreams away.. but all of us... everyone here, even thost that cannot yet dream lucidly, we will and are able to learn and grow during atime where most of humaity is just.... unconsious.

      His word speaks only truth.
      His wrath undoes the wicked."

Welcome. Here is one place where crazy can be seen as a good thing I guess... (crazy=creative=unique=gifted... in a lucid sense).

ANOTHER significant point, but this one made by Seeker, who used to be a hippie.
