Lucid Dreaming can cause schizophrenic/psychotic disorder?

Anybody ever heard of lucid dreaming causing that? Because I read a few people comments about a Lucid dreaming video saying that Lucid dreaming can cause schizophrenic/psychotic disorder. Is there any truth to this?

I read articles about it when I fist started LD'ing but I think I can say with certainty that it does NOT cause any negative health effects and is actually been found to have positive health effects.

Your mind is like your personal mental temple which you work on for whole your life. Lucid dreaming allows you to directly take control of the constructing of the temple. If you have any flaws in your construction (mental deceases) you can fix them all. Absolute permanent insanity doesn't exist. All mental disorders are nothing but a flaw in the construction of your personal mental temple. You can repair all flaws, some more easier than the other, but one method to fix these flaws are through lucid dreaming. Anything can cause you to go insane, also your dreams. But the going insane is because you didn't constructed your personal mental temple which you call your mind properly. Don't blame anyone or anything else for flaws in your mind. Your mind is completely yours. If you go insane, it's because your mind is not compatible with this world. It's like a computerprogram crashing with certain input data only. For example some programs might crash when you divide something by zero. While other programs will take into account the impossibility and will just tell you when you're trying to do an impossible division by zero. Just like some minds might go insane by exposure to certain paradoxical truths, while other minds will just take into account the possibility of paradoxes and will never go insane when exposed to them.

Lucid dreaming is NOT dangerous, it will NOT make you schizo/paranoid/catatonic/dissociated/what-have-you, it will NOT turn you into a psychopath, you will NOT lose or gain any significant amount of sleep. You know, people who say these things really piss me off. What also pisses me off the the "ethics of lucid dreaming". That's like asking about the "ethics" of a GTA game. IT'S NOT REAL. You can go ahead and kill, rape, steal, blow things up, whatever, and it will never ever make you more likely to do that in real life, ever. If you do it in real life, you had problems to start with. There is absolutely no reason to feel remorse for harming a character in your dream, any more than there is reason to feel remorse for running over a hooker in GTA 4. It.just.doesn't.make.sense.

I completely agree with drewmandan. People who blame crime on violent video games are just looking for an excuse. It's just a game! Let people have fun. The same goes for dreams as they aren't real and don't hurt anyone.
