      Reality Checks

My dreams tend to be ones where I am doing strange things or under strange circumstances. I never have dreams with anything such as a purple cat or anything particularly weird. Some times places will be slightly altered or I will think one place is an entirely different place. People might act a little off. What Type of reality checks should I do to help realize Im dreaming?

Try to notice anything strange that happens to you during the day, like the kind of strange things that happen to you during your dream, and when one of these things happens ask yourself whether you are dreaming or not, and try doing something you would not be able to do in the physical like breathing while you hold your nostrils shut.

By getting in the habit of doing this during the day, this should eventually carry over into your dreams where you also do the same kind of questioning and testing in your dream to then realize that you are dreaming.

I use RC to turn False awakenings into Lucid dreams...

there's 4 major types of RC

      Digital clocks or similar devices
      Light switches
      Breathing through your nose
      Flying

      research them

i think i have the same problem, my dreams are only weird in context, but there are never any oversized animals or disney characters...

the weirdest thing that happens a lot for me is my sister being in my dream. this is because she lives in another state, and i dont see her that regularly.

maybe you shouldn't look for things that are weird, but just do RC's on a regular basis, like every time you arrive home, or some other thing you do as a part of your life. Eventually you'll do it in a dream regardless if its weird or not.

also try to convince yourself to be in a dream, in waking life when you do RC. Open up for the possibility that your body could lie and sleep in bed right now.

I'm not really sure what your dreams are like but you could try doing a reality check everytime you feel a strong emotion. I find that it's a pretty good technique for me.

      ypm.
