Attempt at lucid dreaming with strange result

Hi, I have recently started trying to have lucid dreams. The other night I had a dream where I was living back at my parents house and was in my bed. I felt like I came out of my body and had incredibly strong vibration sensations and feelings of pressure. It was kind of exhilarating, scary and painful all at the same time. I felt like I did a backward dive and felt like I was travelling really fast. I remember feeling like this might all be too much for my body to take. Then I felt like I woke up (although I was still asleep) and felt these really strong vibrations in my legs which was painful but it felt like the vibrations were trying to unblock my legs. Then I think the dream carried on with me telling my husband about it. I don’t think it was a lucid dream as I don’t remember thinking ‘I’m awake’ but I’ve never experienced anything like it and at the time I couldn’t believe what was happening to me. Anyone had anything similar or know what it might have been?? Thanks

That sounds a lot like the stages right before a "Wake Induced Lucid Dream" begins. There are three possibilities which arise from this state.

      1. The person becomes scared by the strange noises, feelings of fast movement, etc., and wakes up.

      2. The person forgets their intention to have a lucid dream, and ends up entering a dream oblivious to the fact that they are indeed dreaming.

      3. The person remembers their intention to have a lucid dream, and successfully enters the dream with awareness.

It sounds like you fit in to group two, but it is good that you had this experience , because next time this happens you will know not to be afraid, and to remember your intention. Good Luck!

My best technique that works the fastest is a Dream Exit Induced Lucid Dream (DEILD), they are where you wake up, without moving a muscle, and just think about a lucid dream, and go to sleep. It really speeds up a WILD, and by the time SP hits, you don't have to worry about waking yourself up. You can read about it here:

Does anyone else find it incredibly odd that out of ALL of the possible creatures on this earth, that most furries are either lupine, vulpine, or feline?

Just recently on the weekend, I was watching TV late at night and went to bed. When I was falling asleep the imagery made out like i was back watching TV just as I was but then I thought "I'm not watching TV right now" and I woke myself up.
An Idea. A single idea from the human mind can build cities. An idea can transform the world and rewrite all the rules.
