Quick question in regards to WILDing

I've only ever WILDed from a WBTB and keep trying to WILD just from going to sleep.

I've heard about vibrations which I've never gotten but my body always twitches when trying.

I've gotten to the point where my body feels numb, and I believe it's sleep paralysis seeing as I can't move without actually trying too but hrm.

Sorry, I wanted to try again tonight and probably not giving all the information that you may need to give me a hand.

Basically I want to actually succeed tonight, what normally happens is I'll start twitching every so often, I have to stop what I'm doing to breath (Or am I really breathing it just doesn't feel like it?) and it doesn't go anywhere.

Just focus on counting I heard, is that it? And visualizing... Hrm, sorry off I go bouncing around ideas.

It is a good idea to do a WBTB with a WILD because if you do it first thing at night it can be harder than after a WBTB, and because the first REM sleep phase dosen't start until about 90 min after you fall asleep. You may have some very short disjointed dreams before the REM phase, but they generally are not very vivid and consist mainly of flashes of images, words, etc. The first REM phase of the night only lasts a few minutes. Then the sleep cycle starts all over again. Over the course of the night the REM phases get longer. So basically, WILDing right at bed time = more work for less time to LD. If you wait until later you'll usually have to work less and get more LD time.

Some people WILD without feeling any SP, while most feel some. Get into a comfy position and stay there. Think about something simple to keep your mind awake, but not too active. Don't move. You may feel tingles, vibrations, twitches, pressure, rocking, swaying, heat or cold, a floating sensation, or other things when SP happens. Feeling like your heart is racing and/or you can't breathe are also pretty common. Just stay calm and trust that it is all in your head. Your body is fine. You just have to wait it out.
