      Lucidity and antidepressant meds

I was talking excitedly with a friend last night about my LD and working to become lucid more frequently. She looked at me sorta funny and said that for the past 3 years (since she began taking an SSRI for depression) nearly ALL of her dreams as LDs. I was blown away. I mean, here I am doing RC's, journaling, reading and doing all these things to become lucid, and she has LD's 99% of the time. Anyone else heard of this? Just curious.

I'm taking an SSRI for anxiety, it hasn't affected my lucidity. I also have around 99% lucid dreams, but that was also before I started taking them. But, they make my dreams more vivid in general. And according to the listed potential side effects, a common side effect is abnormal dreams...

But I do not recommend anyone to take antidepressants/SSRIs unless it's the last resort for mental problems. It was the last resort for me.

There is a mighty good Herb called Sceletium Tortuosum, More commonly known as Kanna or Channa, that contains SSRI-substances. The herb is known to be an "Exhilerating Mood enhancer and is often sold at smartshops.

I've smoked it with hash and noticed it's effect were similair to the feeling of Lucidity: Very calm, yet very clear, awake and joyfull. I would say it's effects are Subtile, but defenitely not placebo. It can be smoked, snorted or taken sublingually. My prefered methods are Smoking and Sublingual use.
