      Question Third Eye Meditation

      Hey,

I have some knowledge already of lucidity techniques and methods. I was wondering about techniques of meditation regarding chakra and the third eye. Does anyone know any tips of how to meditate and use this as a tool to better attain or keep lucidty?

ps. this is my first post, and was interested to see how my interests in transcendence can relate to dream lucidity.

Well i cant go into detail but when i started practicing yoga my head became a lot clearer while i was awake but it would seem more active whill i was a sleep. I would do excercices right before bed to get myself completely involved in the moment and then i would think of dreaming or a certain image or what have you and my ability to enter this state of awareness drastically increased. im not sure exactly what you are asking but this is my experience.

      Peace and love my brother.

Meditation always involves the concentration of energy centers combined with visualization techniques. The easiest way to do this is to focus on your third eye while falling asleep. Don't focus too hard or else you'll get extreme headaches. Opening the third eye requires the cumulation of energy over a long period of time, so it's also wise to fill other major chakras at the same time.

Thanks for that. I actually tried focusing energy towards my third eye and it was an abnormal experience which must be that i'm doing....something. just need to figure that out. as for the other major chakras, what are they specifically? is there a comprehensive guide for this somewhere? any suggestions or recomendations?

The best source I've found for third eye meditation is the Clairvision school. They even have a free book giving a very systematic approach to awakening and developing the third eye:

      Awakening The Third Eye

They also do a lot of work with the throat chakra.

Chakra's are structures of energy in your electromagnetic subtle body. When you work with the third eye you're essentially building it from a fluid, dynamic state, into a more cohesive, crystalline structure. This allows more energy to be harnessed through it to make better use of it's functions. It's like building a tool; one that you can use in dreams as well as waking life!

What did you all meant by 'Third Eye'? What can it do?
      Goals:
      1. Attacking my enemies instead of running away from them~ Ultimately taking control of my dream situation.
      2. Remember that I can always summon a shield around me to protect myself in dreams. No need to fear!

It's an organ of vision, much like your ordinary eyes. It has many functions but most people are familiar with it's abilities for inner vision, and being able to perceive subtle layers of reality that you ordinarily cannot see (such as auras).
